Great stay at Dormero! I stayed in a non sea view room and honestly – it was superrrr! 😍 The room was clean, modern and very comfortable. Even without the sea view, it felt really cozy and relaxing. A special thank you to Franzi and Sanuka, who made the stay even better with their friendliness and great service. They really made me feel welcome and well taken care of. Also, the food was delicious – fresh, tasty and with a great variety every day. 🍽️ The whole hotel has a great vibe, everything was well organized, and I really enjoyed my time here. I would definitely come back again – sea view or not! 🙌

A special thank you to Franzi, who manages the hotel with so much passion, heart, and attention to detail – you can truly feel it in every corner of the property. Also a big shoutout to Sanuka, whose friendliness and professionalism made our stay even more special. The hotel itself is a true gem: beautifully designed, super clean, and located directly on the beach with breathtaking ocean views. The rooms are modern, stylish, and offer everything you need for a luxurious yet relaxed stay.  The food was absolutely amazing – from the delicious breakfast to the outstanding dinners. Everything is fresh, high-quality, and prepared with love. Many guests even say it’s some of the best food they had in Sri Lanka.  What really makes this place unique is the atmosphere: it feels exclusive yet incredibly warm and personal. The whole team goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels at home. I had the pleasure of being part of this wonderful hotel, and I can truly say it’s a very special place. The entire property is beautifully designed, extremely well maintained, and located right on the beach – making it feel like a little paradise. The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer breathtaking views of the ocean and sunsets. The facilities are of a very high standard, with great attention to detail throughout. The Wi-Fi is also excellent and reliable across the whole property. The food experience is exceptional – from a delicious and varied breakfast to beautifully prepared dinners, everything is made with great care and full of flavor. What truly makes this place unique, however, is the team. Working alongside people like Franzi and Sanuka, you can feel the passion, dedication, and genuine warmth every single day. There is a strong sense of care and teamwork that creates a very special atmosphere for both guests and staff. It’s a place where people arrive as guests and leave with unforgettable memories. I’m very proud to be part of it.

The room was spacious, clean, and with stunning views of the ocean and of the sunsets. Every corner of the hotel was decorated with great style. The facilities were all well maintained and of high level. Food was always very tasty and abundant. The staff is extremely pleasant and kind, especially Franziska and her faithful companion Kiki. The hotel is almost new and excellently designed, the rooms are very comfortable with beautiful terraces and a view of the ocean with tireless surfers. The pool is great.

This property is absolutely incredible. We were lucky enough to be updated to a suite and were absolutely blown away by how huge and impressive the suite was, and with a gorgeous view of the ocean and sunset. A wonderful pool area with an infinity pool and plenty of sun loungers and parasols facing the ocean - many hours spent enjoying the ocean views and watching the surfers. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. A wonderful breakfast, beautifully presented. It really did feel like we had found paradise. Just a shame we had to leave.

Beautifully designed boutique hotel with fabulous staff who made you feel hugely welcome and special from the moment you entered the premises. Gorgeous views of the ocean from communal areas and room. Francis is exceptional and authentic in her excitement to deliver the best possible guest experience!

Everything! If I could rank it 20/10 I would. Franzi, the hotel manager and her team makes a great job. I never felt some personnally welcomed and taken for. My room was huge and beautiful. I loved it. The location on the beach is beautiful and close to a lot of restaurants

Are you a surf family searching for a nice small luxury hotel situated directly by the point break? Look no further. Book. Arrange your holliday dates around their avalibility. Its not possible to find better than this ;) Go to bed eary, wake up at 5:30 and be in the lineup by 6 with first surfers. Have a delicious breakfast after the surf, watching the happening on the break. Relax by the pool. Have a cocktail. Go for a sunset session. Catch that last wave that takes you directly to the front of hotel. Treat yourself with a nice seafood platter dinner and a bottle of good wine. Go to bed early, so you can repeat a perfect day tomorrow also ;)

We stayed for two nights at the end of our honeymoon. This is a quite new hotel, opened two years ago. Franzi and the team were aaabsolutely amazing hosts! From we arrived to we left, they were always helpful and service-minded. The seaview room we booked last-minute was double-booked, but we were offered a different and great room, the Jungle Junior Suite, at the same price. No seaview, but a very spacious and luxurious feel to the room. We were offered a free honeymoon dinner, and the team made it a special honeymoon experience. We could check-in early and were able to take a shower after we had checked out. Great Rice&Curry! Great view. There are around 11 rooms at the hotel, so the feel is much more luxurious and special than other big hotels with lots of rooms. Quality over quantity! The hotel is very clean. Fun to watch the surfers from the hotel garden. There are absolutely cheaper alternatives, but from our research and experience, this is overall the best proper luxurious and fancy hotel in Hikkaduwa. We had massage, which was one of the best massages we have ever had. 10/10 would recommend to stay at Dormero Hikkaduwa!

My spouse and I stayed at Dormero for one night as a short break from Colombo and had a lovely experience. The location is excellent, the facilities are modern and well maintained, and the staff were attentive and professional throughout our stay. Everything felt calm and refined, making it an ideal spot for a quick luxury getaway. We would definitely return.

Beautiful hotel, right on the beach with private access but also in the centre of Hikkaduwa so easy to get out to restaurants etc. staff were lovely and so helpful. Our room was upgraded and with absolutely stunning.

The hotel was in a fabulous location and beautiful inside. The food was excellent. The Hotel receptionist was lovely and so happy and all the staff were so attentive. Stay here you will not regret it. Wish we had stayed longer.
