We already had high expectations because of the other reviews and comments, but this family and their accommodation exceeded all of these. Incredibly kind and friendly, great rooms with air con, fridge, hot water etc. We booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for 10, they were very supportive and understanding regarding our flight cancellations and did everything they could to help us. They even gave my girlfriend a present on her birthday! An incredible place to stay, not to be missed.

Affordable rooms in good condition! Wifi is good. Suitable for work. But the most important is the hospitality of the Dilan’s family. His father and brother is very kind and generous people.

“Great value for money”

Anthony Guesthouse in Hikkaduwa is a gem. The facilities are modern and spotlessly clean, offering comfortable, well-equipped rooms and useful amenities. Its location is a major plus, just a one minute walk from the stunning, quiet sands of Beach, perfect for surfing or relaxing. However, the true highlight is the incredible staff; Anthony and his family are welcoming, kind, and go above and beyond to ensure a perfect stay. Their genuine hospitality makes you feel right at home. It's a fantastic, peaceful retreat with superb service and ideal beach access.

Room was clean and spacious with good AC, nice bathroom and outdoor space. The whole family were so lovely and welcoming, and Dilan helped us with any questions we had and anything else we needed. Beach nearby was so quiet and beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at Anthony Guesthouse. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful, organising transfers and providing recommendations. It is in an ideal location, 2 minute walk to the main beach and lots of restaurants.

Absolutely perfects hosts. The definition of a true guest house. Suits solo travellers, couples or families. The Sri Lankan food we ordered was divine. Dilan was very generous with his advice on local attractions and travel advice. Highly recommend.

A nice place to be. Clean room, big and comfortable bed with mosquito net, warm water, quiet place, close to the long beach, which is less crowded than in Hikkaduwa, many restaurants nearby. But above all is the family! What ever you need they are here for you. This was our second stop in Sri Lanka and we feel very fortunate to have stayed on both places with extremely welcoming families.

Really enjoyed our stay at Anthony’s. Quiet & comfortable room. Comfy bed. Anthony and his Son Dillon were so friendly and knowledgeable- nothing was too much hassle. Dillon picked us up from the airport helped us to plan the rest of our trip and drove us to our next destination. I would recommend it to anyone.

The place is awesome, good bedroom and comfortable beds. Well clean. Dilan was awesome in providing great support even before our arrival and checking on us to see if anything was necessary. On top of that, we have his parents which were awesome, with Antonio being a superstar! Very kind and funny man! We had a blast with Antonio!

“Lovely family home and guest house with above and beyond service”

Dilan was a fantastic host and both he and his family were really welcoming and helpful throughout our stay with them. Dilan was in contact well in advance of us joining them and always on hand to help, as well as providing us with recommendations and advice for our stay both in Hikkaduwa and in Sri Lanka as a whole. The property was great value for money, with a nice spacious bedroom as well as living area and bathroom. The location was also fantastic, nicely away from the busier central Hikkaduwa area but still close enough by Tuk Tuk (5 minutes) or even a nice walk along the beach close by. There was also some nice restaurants located close by as well. We also took them up on breakfast too which was lovely and great value for money. Thank you to Dilan and family for being so welcoming and we wish you all the best.

We came the second time to Hikkaduwa during our trip and stayed again with Anthony and his family. Dilan and his father Anthony are a great team and also friendly and lovely people. We had again a great time and wouldn’t mind coming back a third time. 10/10 - highly recommended! We’re leaving with great memories.

Anthony and his son Dilan were very accommodating, warm and very hospitable. We got lots of great tips and impressions and had a great start in Sri Lanka. The location is also great, very close to the beach. Surfing, relaxing and delicious food nearby. This accommodation is an absolute heartfelt recommendation!

“A gem located in Southern coast of Sri Lanka”

I've been to this lovely nation five times, and Anthony is among the loveliest people I've ever encountered. He places a high value on the service and does not prioritise money. A minute is all it takes to reach the blue-turquoise beach. We had an excellent guided city tour of Galle thanks to his arrangements. I later found out that he is a certified lecturer and a tour guide in Sri Lanka. He has such a modest demeanour, and such enlightening conversations are really worthwhile. With all the conveniences inside, the room was large, contemporary, and clean. The air conditioner was quiet and brand-new. I have no difficulty in recommending this location. A must visit location on Sri Lanka's southern coast because you will receive excellent value for your money. I nearly forgot to add how delicious the dinner was. Hope to come back to Anthony Guesthouse next year as well. I glad i found this place on booking 🤞

“Nice place with friendly hosts”

Great place, very friendly and enthusiastic family. Dylan knows a lot about the surrounding area and his parents are there to help out when he´s away. There is a train track behind the house (which is true for almost all accommodations in Hikkaduwa) and although you can hear the train pass, it didn't disturb me or my toddler.

Great room. The owner Anthony and his family are very nice and friendly people. We asked them for water several times - each time they gave us huge bottles of water and did not even charge us any money for it. They have a lot of cats and kittens and a very cool dog. The beach is literally across the road, a couple of minutes by tuktuk to the beach with turtles. The location itself is quiet and pleasant. We had a great weekend there.

This is the best guesthouse we've stayed in. The rooms were spotless and modern, with a kitchen area including fridge. The hosts were exceptional, they were friendly offering tips and advice, as well as cooking the most amazing curry. The location is a few metres from the beach, although not safe for kids to swim, it isn't far to walk to the lifeguarded zone and surf breaks. We would completely recommend!

Anthony and his parents are very welcoming and show great hospitality! The room was spaceous, super clean and modern. Same goes for the bathroom. Overall one of the best places we stayed in during our 6 weeks roadtrip. There is no A/C but this didn't bother us.
