Amazing garden and structure

“Perfect accomodation 11/10”

If we had the possibility to give 11 of 10 we would have done it. For us, Bodhi, his family and their house were the perfect way to end our trip in Sri Lanka. Starting with the citrus juice they give you when you arrive, continuing with the wonderful experience of free snorkeling, the amazing garden they have there with nights full of fireflies, the coconuts after snorkeling, their beautiful dog and the amazing conversation and ending with the thing that they gave us a ride to the train station in the last day, how can you review it other than amazing? For us, it was the first time snorkeling and Bodhi made it in that way to feel and be safe and comfortable.

“Lovely property with very accommodating hosts!”

The property was beautiful with lots of trees and flowering bushes. We saw monkeys, peacocks and fireflies, and the host brought us snorkelling several times for free.

What an absolute GEM this place is! We booked based off the amazing reviews and you quickly realise why 4 seasons has so many. Bodi and his family welcome you in with a cold drink and a warm greeting. He likes to take all of his guests snorkelling for free, and during our stay we went with him twice. He sorts all your gear out, will tailor the trip based on your snorkelling experience and you get to see a beautiful reef, with loads of fish and even some turtles if you’re lucky! Honestly this trip is better than anything we’ve paid for we had so much fun. Speaking to him is like catching up with an old friend and he is a pleasure to be around. The rooms are basic and very clean with comfy beds. They have a really stunning garden which is a zen space to chill out and a cute little doggy called Lassi. This was by far our favourite homestay in Sri Lanka - we absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone!

This review is more about the hosts and the friendliness of them more than the accommodation itself. The accommodation is pretty standard; a medium hard bed, aircon, hot water shower, hammock on the balcony and situated in a peaceful garden just off the Hikkaduwa main street. All what you need for a simple stay. However, what sets this property apart from anywhere else are the hosts - Bodhi and his parents. You will not meet a friendlier and more helpful set of hosts on your travels. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, they were constantly trying to help and ensure we had a great stay - snorkelling with Bodhi at the best spot, shark spotting, local tea recipes and a trip to Galle were just a few things we experienced with them. People talk of the friendliness of Sri Lankans and Bodhi (and his parents) epitomises this. If you are looking for a comfortable, if basic, accommodation where the Sri Lankan people are centre stage then you have found the right place here!

-Bodhi took us snorkeling 3 times in 2 days, seeing lots of fish and several turtles he knew all the best spots. -very good wifi -lovely garden with hammocks and deck chairs. -lovely dog lassie -Family very welcoming, helped us with laundry and getting bus to next destination

The rooms are placed in an amazing garden, and the Owner is helpful, gentle, always available, careful and respecting. He offered a safe snorkeling in the reef taking care of our needs and showing as many fishes as we could see, even turtles and reef sharks. The mum prepared a very nice breakfast for us. Our best stay in Sri Lanka so far. Very recomended!

If I could give this property a 20 I would. The host , mom ,dad and son Bodhi in particular made it a wonderful stay. We even extended our stay. And will return. Rooms were clean comfortable and well presented. Bodhi. Made every effort to help in anyway he could. And threw in a few snorkeling trips in the morning s as well. This place was just perfect. It’s also just around the corner from town centre and beach area .

Bodhi and his family were very friendly and helpful in everything. Bodhi was very enthusiastic to bring us to experience snorkeling, turtle feeding, train railway walking and showed us many plants, insects and animals in his garden. We had so much fun at hikkaduwa due to Bodhi and his family’s help. Will definitely visit his guesthouse again.

“Serene Garden very close to Beach and cafes”

Garden was lovely, bed comfortable,bathroom very clean and hot water hot. Had coathangers and bed light. Bed was comfortable. Bodhi the son was very helpful. Picked me up at theTrain station and took me snorkling and made sure i was safe in the water. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed Cute dog, a welcoming fruit drink on arrival. Very well situated a short walk to the beach, and markets and goid eating places
