33 Lake Terrace is in an exceptional location with super views of the lake and surrounding countryside. The staff were wonderful, Janaka was the ideal host at all times. The breakfast was exceptional and delicious.

It is a great property. Very calm and peaceful. Breakfast was amazing and the staff was very helpful. Though its not on the beach, its not too far off either and the staff can arrange a tuk tuk.

the wifi did ot work at night. Did they switch it off? at best it was slow during he day given that as it rained this and a good book was the only distraction it needed to work. The food was good but ever asked you if you would be staying for dinner the seemed surprised when we did.

Stunning views and beautiful property

Quiet hotel with breathtaking views of the lake and garden away from the road and railway. We were the only guests there, so we had a luxury of the pool big enough not only to chill but to swim to ourselves. Personnel was very friendly and eager to help. We even spent several days without leaving the hotel at all.

The property is in a beautiful peaceful spot overlooking the estuary, no road sounds and just nature. The staff were beautiful and kind and attentive, wanting to make sure we were happy. As we were the only guests at this time (it is low season) we had the place to ourselves. The pool is an asset and lovely for an early morning swim. Food is western style generally and nicely presented.

This place is exceptional. A beautiful setting, wonderfully designed boutique hotel. Furnishings are top notch, staff are superb and excellent food.

“Perfection”

This is a magnificent property and our experience here was the perfect end to our 3 week visit of Sri Lanka. Only a 10 minute drive out of town yet the location is such that you feel a world away - completely surrounded by nature; the forest, the lake, the gardens, so many birds, giant bees, shy leaf monkeys (only one sighting!) we even spotted a huge lizard swimming past in the lake. The rooms are generous in size and perfectly appointed. While everything about the villa is just perfect, the standout for us was our host. Generous with his time and knowledge, discreet but available for any request or question. So many wonderful conversations covering a very broad range of topics! Panduka you made our stay so much more memorable - we thank you.

33 Lake Terrace was absolutely beautiful. It was peaceful, the rooms were stunning, the pool area was lovely, and breakfast was excellent. I truly couldn’t fault the staff! Out of our 18-day trip, it was our favourite place to stay.

We had a great stay at the Lake Terrace. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and the room was nicely decorated. Even though it rained for one of the two days we were there, the setting was so lovely it didn’t take away from the experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially with our vegan diet, making sure we had enough food options. The town center is a short 20-minute walk or a £1 tuk-tuk ride away. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing stay.

The property is an amazing little oyster, It is pretty much at the end of a road so super quiet and peaceful. The staff were amazing and we actually met the owner while we were there.

An absolutely fantastic place to stay. Probably the best on our trip to Sri Lanka. Many people want to stay at beachfront properties when they visit hikkaduwa, we stayed at a beachfront property and ended up cancelling our reservation after one night because it did not meet our expectations. Instead we luckily found 33 lake view terrace and ended up adding an extra night stay because of how perfect it was. The staff were so very friendly and the manager is exceptional. The rooms are immaculate and designed beautifully. We had two rooms booked and the view out of both rooms was incredible. The breakfast was the fresh and cooked to perfection. The lunch was also fantastic and very very reasonable. The 3 night stay was very reasonable. When we arrived to our next accommodation up the coast we wondered whether we should go back to lake view terrace. I will be back to this place and I will be recommending it to as many people as possible. Thank you so much for an exceptional stay.
