Fico Hotel is new and conveniently located near Harmony Land in Hiji. I had a great rest at the hotel, enjoyed the breakfast, and appreciated the friendly staff.

We stayed for one night, which was perfect for doing some laundry and enjoying a restful sleep on the comfortable beds. The parking, conveniently located a short walk from the hotel, was included in the price, making the stay even more convenient."

They are very eco friendly first. You have a fridge in your room that actually works, there's a freezer compartment and things stay frozen (it does take time) but they stay frozen. The kettle and hair dryer are located on the study desk with chair. You get a humidifier with air purifier which I really love. Heat from air conditioning works well too. There is a space for eating downstairs and it is okay. The front desk is 24 hours! 2 laundry machines that can wash and dry up to 6kg of clothes I think, for 500yen is a steal. The decor is pretty nice and the meeting room and gym is fairly new, I've not seen anyone using it.

We family stayed here one night after visiting Harmony Land. The room is compact but clean and our daughters love the bunk bed. Breakfast is great.

Excellent stay! Great deal for that price. 10-15mins by walk from Yokoku station, so it was easy to travel to Beppu or other cities. Also close to the Hiji Castle ruins, where you can take a walk by the sea. The area was super quite but with great places to eat. The staff was very nice and spoke english. Excellent breakfast for 500yen/person. Totally reccomend!!

“Simple but all you need for an overnight stay”

The staff were amazing! The two ladies checking us in were genuinely wonderful and really contributed to us enjoying our stay- thank you! We discussed dinner options and they made us a reservation. The gentleman at check out the next day was also very pleasant. Breakfast was better than a business hotel and was being replenished frequently. The facilities were exceptionally clean. Our room was advertised as compact, which it was but my daughter and I could share the bed and as we had carry on it wasn’t a problem. Perhaps some foreign travellers may struggle but we were perfectly fine. I felt safe alone with my daughter. Double glazed windows kept the sound out from the road which we really appreciated.

Small hotel, but it provided everything with great comfort! The staff and service were exceptional— and even put on a complimentary cocktail hour— very cute!
