“Great place if you are not a foreigner!”

Most (but not all) staff aren’t foreigner friendly, you may feel even less welcome than we did if you don’t speak Japanese. We were put into a pets-allowed room -probably to dissuade us from returning.

“Pet Friendly relaxing stay with great ocean view”

Stayed at Atagawa Ocean Resort for a weekend getaway with my husband and our two fur babies, TinTin and Goofy. Overall, we had a relaxing and comfortable stay, especially because of the beautiful seaside atmosphere. Things we really liked: • Spacious room with a lovely ocean view balcony • Very friendly and polite staff • Excellent beachfront location • Thoughtful pet accessories provided in the room • Good facilities including the public bath, spa, pool, cafe and game room • The onsen and spa experience was especially relaxing • Convenient outdoor dog washing and drying area after beach walks The highlight for us was definitely the peaceful beach experience during sunset and early morning walks with our fur babies.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We had a rental car. We used this as a base to go to see Kawazu Cherry blossom, Shimoda, Koganezaki Park in Nishi-lzu and Jogasaki Coast. The room we stayed at was huge, with a balcony and ocean view. The hotel was steps away from a beach, but we didn't go as it was still cold. There were many family with kids. Very family friendly. There were dog friendly suites, too. Also a dog park at the front of the resort. Our stay included dinner and breakfast. Food choices were plenty with a lot of variety. I like their breaded oysters the best. The onsen had natural hot springs. Water properties would made your skin smooth. There were skincare products at the bathing area to try,too. There was a heated swimming pool open from end of Mar. Good value, not expensive at all.

Hood location with a view over ocean. Good food selection for breakfast and dinner. Helpful and curteous staff in the bar.

Newly refurbished. The room was nice and big.

The room was spacious, quiet, clean, and comfortable; and had with a great view. The public bathing area was clean well-appointed.

Clean hotel and rooms. Near the beach. The work in the pool is well organized so that there are not too many people at the same time. There were many foreign workers in the service staff and all were well trained, polite and friendly.

Room was clean. I like having the ocean view (although it is just a small slice of view). It is more convenient if you are driving (which we did) Friendly receptionist

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, and the staff are welcoming. We enjoyed the sea view in the hot spring bath.

We booked a threebed room for one night. Got a extreamly big room with sepatate child room. Balcony to the sea. Hotel is modern in top condition, but the surroundings are quite worn. Good breakfast in japanese style.
