Overview
The Thatch House Hermanus is located on the banks of the Hermanus Lagoon. This boutique hotel boasts an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court. The spacious and elegant suites at The Thatch House offer lagoon, garden or mountain view. They have a seating area and include a luxurious bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is served every morning at the property or in the privacy of your room. Light lunches, picnics, dinners, barbecues or wine tastings can be arranged. Guests can cruise or paddle the lagoon on a boat, enjoy a hike, a massage or simply admire the views from across the expansive garden down to the lagoon. There are a tree house and a jungle gym to explore. Grotto Beach is 6 km away while the centre of Hermanus can be reached within 15 minutes' drive.

“We will be back!”
The hotel is an amazing nice and quiet getaway. With only a few very spacious rooms. The dinner was very tasteful and flexible with our little one. Breakfast was excellent!

The location is stunning with the mountains behind and the lake in front. The interior has been thoughtfully decorated and it was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

“The pearl of Hermanus!”
We loved the staff, it was our honeymoon and they really made an extra effort, especially Jenica. The rest of the staff was so attentive, kind and helpful. The surroundings made it feel like you were on a different planet, quiet, and beautiful, with the amazing nature surrounding you. Also, the food and wine options were outstanding!

We had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend this stunning place. Everything was perfect – the accommodation was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and we felt welcome from the very first moment. A huge thank you to the hosts for their kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail. It truly made our stay special and relaxing. You can really feel how much care and heart goes into this place. I've been there three times, and we would absolutely love to come back and would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a luxurious, pleasant and memorable stay.

It’s a beautiful stylish building and the log burners were very welcome on chilly evenings. The sunset hot tub experience by the lagoon is a wow and not to be missed
