Situated just across the road from the famous Hermanus cliff paths, Cliff Cottage offers spacious, Cape Dutch-style en-suite double or twin bedrooms and family suites, with garden entrances, off-street parking, mountain views, and scrumptious home-cooked English or continental breakfasts. Cliff Cottage is surrounded by a charming garden with a terrace. Tea/coffee facilities and mini-bar fridges are available in all rooms at Cliff Cottage which are sunny, spacious and individually decorated in a contemporary style. Guests can take scenic walks along the cliff paths or visit Hermanus’ village shops, bars and restaurants. Grotto Beach, Fernkloof Nature Reserve and the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley are only a 10-minute drive away. This is our guests' favourite part of Hermanus, according to independent reviews. Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.3 for a two-person trip.

“This property and its staff was a nice surprise, definitely made it a great time in Hermanus.”
Elizma makes sure that her guests have a great time in Hermanus. She adviced were to go for dinner and arranged the whale boat trip for us last minute. When you go out in the late afternoon and feel uncomfortable walking back in the dark, just send her a message and she will arrange a trusted taxi to pick you up. Quite exceptional service. The property itself is a quaint old cottage, well maintained, with several spacious apartments and a nice garden.

“Hosts Elizma & Johan could not have been more accommodating ..went the extra mile for us.”
Perfect hosts! A one night stay only but Elizma and Johan looked after us wonderfully. Beautifully furnished room, comfortable bed, fridge, fresh milk for our morning tea and a bottle of wine! Elizma fixed up a taxi to take us into the centre as we were running late for our arranged supper and, unprompted, both Johan & Elizma picked us up afterwards!

We stayed here a few years ago as we like the location and having a walk into town along the coastal footpath. So much food at breakfast we were spoiled for choice. Owners very obliging and lovely room and garden.

“Would stay there again any time…!”
Situated quite close to the centre of Hermanus in a quiet road just off cliff road. We had the little garden cottage which was ideal for us, with a spacious room and shower room. Elizma and Jan, the hosts, were absolutely fantastic. They did everything possible to make our stay comfortable, from an early take away breakfast to guiding us to the right hospital, and supporting us throughout the various hospital visits we had to undertake. Elizma, larger than life, is an absolute rock and couldn’t have been more hospitable.

We stayed in a beautiful self contained unit in the garden, which I couldn’t fault. Lovely touches like a bottle of wine and water on arrival. Elizma is a welcoming and helpful host , she recommended and booked our restaurant in town which was superb. Her breakfast is fantastic. Good location for the coast path and an easy walk to town.

Beautiful cottage right by the cliff top walk. Well appointed. Lovely staff. Delicious breakfast. Short ride/walk into town. It was exceptionally hot when we were there ( obviously nothing to do with the property!) they were kind enough to give us a fan which helped!
