“Our stay in Hermanus”

The whole experience was excellent...right from the check in, the house itself, the room, the breakfast...and the recommendations by the staff, everything was exceptional. The icing on the cake was our whale watching..we saw five whales on our cruise.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the 138 Marine Beachfront Guesthouse and felt incredibly welcome from the very first moment. The warm greeting we received set the tone for our entire visit. Every morning started with a fantastic breakfast that was always fresh and beautifully prepared. Beyond the great food, the host provided us with invaluable travel tips and local hidden gems that made our time in Hermanus even more special. The location is simply spectacular. The views over the ocean and the stunning sunsets we got to witness were truly magnificent. We highly recommend this wonderful guesthouse to anyone visiting the area and already look forward to our next stay.

This is a place where you will feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Meryl, the manager, is warm and welcoming and fills the house with brightness. She makes sure that no one lacks for anything. The location is stunning and we enjoyed the quieter neighbourhood as opposed to being in Hermanus central. Superb breakfast overlooking the ocean was a perfect ending to a very enjoyable stay.

nice view of shoreline.location disappointing.Even the owner told us not a great location if you want to walk and swim.That was the reason we booked there.we booked 5 nights and left after one night forfeiting our full payment.To get to the nearest beach is a 15 minute drive at best with a lot of traffic

Superb sea facing location. Super staff and lovely service throughout.

The location is lovely. Right in the coast with a lovely outlook and sunsets. The property is also attractive and I generally in good condition. That said, the decor was a little tired in places The room was very nice, large and comfortable with a lovely outlook and lots of light The staff were very friendly and helpful with good local advice. Overall, a very nice stay and we would go back

Literally everything. The Guesthouse is gorgeous, the details, the attentive of the staff, the owner Meryl and last but not least the breakfast. Definitely the best breakfast ever done in front of an amazing sea view. What else to add? Just book!
