Overview
Hunguest Hotel Sun Resort is situated in a small park on Herceg Novi's seaside promenade. It has its own concrete beach and a tempered garden pool from May to October. Free WiFi is available in public areas and in the 2 restaurants, Lovcen and Jadranka. The air-conditioned rooms provide free internet access. The hotel provides free sun loungers and parasols and various water sports can be enjoyed at the beach. There is a wellness centre with infra red and Finnish sauna, a hot tub, and additional massage services. The Restaurant Jadranka offers a terrace with a view of the sea and serves Mediterranean and international food and drinks. Herceg Novi offers various night clubs that can be enjoyed on the seaside promenade, as well as many cosy cafés and bars.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in September during our three-week road trip from Germany to Albania, traveling with our baby. We had booked the room in advance for just one night. Shortly before our arrival, we were informed that there might be occasional water supply issues due to maintenance work on the pipes. Upon arrival, the receptionist was somewhat unfriendly and spoke very poor English. The room was of average size but rather old-fashioned. Unfortunately, there was no water for showering — it was available for only about an hour, and even then, the drainage system in the shower didn’t work properly. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. There was a buffet offered at a fixed price. The selection was decent, but the food quality was not particularly good. However, the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, this was the worst hotel of our entire trip. The price-performance ratio is definitely not good, and we would not recommend staying here.

“Very good resort hotel right on the sea”
The hotel is a resort, with a main building, some smaller houses, swimming pool, restaurants and bars. It is right on the sea and has a private space on the sea front with sun-beds from where you can directly access the sea, which is very convenient. It is not too far from the old city, you only have to follow the nice pedestrian promenade on the sea.

Great location and good breakfast with very friendly snd helpful staff. Was allowed to cancel the last night due to a change in itinerary at no cost - really appreciated the service. The pool was very nice!
