Overview
Located right at the edge, 1002 meters above sea level, is Skarsnuten Hotel. The hotel has a panoramic view of Hemsedal and with Hemsedal ski center as the nearest neighbor. Hemsedal city center is just a 10-minute drive away. All our guest rooms are bright with a modern design. Common to all rooms is a private bathroom with a shower or bathtub, free Wi-Fi, a coffee machine, and a flat-screen TV. À la carte lunch and dinner is served in the hotel restaurant, and you can enjoy the breakfast buffet every morning. There is plenty of seating around the venue, which gives a private and cozy atmosphere. The bar is next to the restaurant. Both the restaurant and the bar have a fantastic view of Hemsedal. In our SPA you can relax and enjoy the fantastic view. Whether you choose one of the saunas, footbaths, adventure showers, jacuzzis, or ice baths, we guarantee relaxed shoulders and replenishment of energy. We will also recommend you choose one of our personalized spa treatments. We have a age limit of 10 years old at our morning spa and 16 years old the other times. Whether you like lazy days in the sun, long walks in the mountains, or something in between, Hemsedal is the place to be. Every season is different, and no day is the same. There is a variety of activities to choose from. Hiking, biking, and skiing are possible from the hotel door, and the 18-hole golf course at Hemsedal Golf Club is a 20-minute drive away. During the winter, you can attend the ski school. At Skarsnuten Hotel we are happy to help you with tips for activities. Let us know what you prefer, and we will help out. “The views, the staff, the food all were top notch.”

Amazing place – the best accommodation we stayed at during our road trip in Norway. We started our journey from this hotel, and everything else afterward felt like a downgrade. The location is beautiful, and we had an incredible view of the mountains from a large window in our bedroom. The bathroom was spacious and modern, with a fantastic shower and luxurious amenities. Breakfast was simply outstanding – a wide variety of options for vegans and vegetarians, including different types of plant-based milk. Chefs were preparing hot dishes on the spot. There were great indoor spaces as well as a stunning terrace surrounded by mountains, perfect for outdoor dining when the weather allows. But the cherry on top was the spa – absolutely exceptional. It featured facilities like a jacuzzi, sauna, cold plunge, and outdoor pools, all with breathtaking mountain views. At one point, we had the spa to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. Next time I visit Norway, I’ll make sure to stay here again – and for more than one day, as the surrounding area is also worth exploring.

Deluxe Double Room
In our beautiful and complete deluxe rooms, you can really relax. Solid carpets, rustic wall paneling and beautiful bronze mirrors bring the mountain right inside. The delicious double bed is perfect for active bodies that need to recharge before the next session. The windowsill has been converted into a cozy sofa corner that guarantees a view. Spacious and stylish bathrooms enhance the good feeling. Pillows from COCO-MAT, Saga down comforter from Høie and toiletries from L’Occitane. Welcome to the deluxe rooms on the first and second floor.
Deluxe Petite
A little smaller, but just as inviting in both the room and the bathroom. The windows let in the mountain light and the good feeling is in place. The double bed is just as soft and large as in other deluxe rooms. Pillows from COCO-MAT, Saga down comforter from Høie and toiletries from L’Occitane. You are welcome to our petite deluxe rooms on the first floor (ground floor).
Double Room with Mountain View
Here you will find the atmosphere, quality and comfort of standard double rooms. But, the experience still grows a bit when you can enjoy the view down or up the mountainside. Breathe with your stomach and feel that the feeling of freedom. From the double rooms with mountain views you get the very best view from the hotel's original part.
Double Room with Parking View
Offering free toiletries, this triple room includes a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. The triple room features carpeted floors, a seating area with a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a private entrance, a minibar, as well as a coffee machine. The unit offers 1 bed.
Junior Suite
As in the deluxe rooms, the materials are solid and the interior aesthetic. The wonderful view is also there, but the square meters are more. The junior suite is on the first floor - welcome!
