“A quirky, welcoming place in a very special town.”
Location is great - remarkable in fact. Just a couple of hundred metres to the sea and the national park starts 500ms away. The accommodation is quirky and and has a unique feel to it. (It was a bookstore). Clearly someone loves this place and has renovated it carefully and thoughtfully. The kitchen is small but usable and the coffee machine - fully automatic - is a bonus. It was warm on cold summer's days! The staff at The Freezer in Rif were also very nice and helpful. If you stay, drop by and ask questions!

“A lovely home, away from home...”
It is a lovely place. As the name says, this genuinely used to be be a bookstore. Our little boys loved the living room with so many books. The place was warm and inviting. Very different than normal houses (book pages as wall paper). The bunk beds and sleeping arrangement was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked. It just felt like home. Very inviting..

Quirky, welcoming decor with great personality providing a sense of its history and who used to live in the place. Spacious with lots of light, well set-up for self catering and close to services and the coast. Probably our favourite accommodation we stayed in in Iceland.

We stayed at The Bookstore Apartment only for one night, but we enjoyed it a lot. It was very quiet, comfortable and cosy. Would recommend it and choose it again for a next stay.

“Special apartment”
I was a little bit hesitating due to mix reviews but I have to say I have really nice experience in the apartment, it was super comfy, warm, big and with perfect WIFI. I could make late self check in, and it had all the needed for my stay. Pity I was just one night, so beautiful place with a bit of history.

So this was the best accommodation in Iceland for us. Amazing atmosphere, lots of ideas, books, messages on the walls, wonderful. The atmosphere draws you in, calms you down, it's simply wonderful, and that includes the equipment that is just right to fit into this atmosphere. And the viking (beer) in the fridge was the icing on the cake.

I liked the convenience of the self check in, went very smoothly. Place was exceptional, very cute interior. Beds were comfortable and the area is very quiet. I really enjoyed staying here, wish I could have stayed longer.

“Hellisandur apartment”
Hellisandur was a great location tour Snaefellnes. We liked having a small kitchen for making our own meals. Bed was comfy.
