One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. Very clean and modern. Tea and coffee in the room. A clean and well-maintained room, as well as the entire hotel.

A good hotel in a small city. Just expect there's nothing around. In the city, there are mural walls, but that's all. The only restaurant in the city is in this hotel. Clean, comfy, only thing was, at around 8 as everyone took shower, there was quite cold running water. It got better later at night.

Hotel needs renovation, rooms are quite old, but it is fine for one night.

“Beware when travelling with a baby/toddler”

We've booked this hotel room under the condition that a baby cot would be provided for our 2 year old toddler. I've been calling the hotel prior to making the booking to get a confirmation of the availability and possibility to have the baby cot arranged. When doing the booking, I did request the cot another time, referring to the previous phone call. The availability was confirmed yet another time, and so I didn't check my messages upon the day of arrival since we've been on tour in Iceland prior to. When driving towards the hotel, I noticed a message from the hotel (Mr. Vicente) informing that there is no bed available, with no alternative proposals, no suggestions for a compensation whatsoever. Following this, I instantly called the hotel to understand what the situation was and what could be done about it. Mr. Vicente informed me that the baby cot of the hotel broke (is there only one for an entire hotel?), apparently a new one was ordered but the arrival is delayed so in essence, nothing can be done about it and its our problem. I requested a free cancellation given that the conditions of the booking had changed. As per Mr. Vicente, we would not be entitled to any refund since we had booked a non refundable room (yes, we did but after confirming with the hotel staff that a baby cot was available and only because of that). When asking for other solutions (mattress on the floor etc) I've been told there is no option. Also, when asking for a compensation, I was told the cot is not for free anyways hence we wouldn't be entitled to any compensation (we hadn't been told by the hotel prior that the cot would come at a cost, even though we got the availability confirmed twice!). Either way, apart from spending sleepless nights at this hotel while being squeezed into a double bed with our toddler, we were mostly shocked about the lack of understanding, empathy, and inhumanity.

“At the end of the world, but good enough”

The only place on Iceland where you get draft beer into the 0,5 l glass.

Reading lights on both sides of bed. Was only on one side.

Good breakfast included. The restaurant had limited options but the food was excellent. Good location for exploring the peninsula and going out after dinner.

Room was clean and the sraff were nice.

The room was quite spacious and we loved the heaters so we coud dry our clothes Evening staff were super friendly and cute.

Breakfast was not bad. A decent stay overall.
