Nice location in town.

The location was very good as it was in the center of the main city part. It is nearby lots of resturants and the building the hotel is located in it very beautiful. Although it is a little pricy the room was very nice with tall ceilings and with a lovely bathroom.

This was the second time we stayed at the Hotel de Oude Veste and we were not disappointed. Exceptional deluxe room overlooking the river. Extremely comfortable and very well-appointed. Secure storage for our e-blkes. Very good breakfast served by extremely friendly and helpful staff. Would have no hesitation in staying here again!

“Beautiful, quiet location”

The rooms were lovely, even my eldest daughter was impressed which is something. The rooms were clean & we loved the high ceilings. Bathroom was spacious & clean, shower was great. What I would say is that a little instruction on how to keep the lights on in the room & bathroom wouldn't go a miss. Once we'd figured it out it was no problem. Location is great & so quiet & beautiful. Ideal place for walks & a bit of exploring the area. Breakfast was really good & went down well, unfortunately my youngest daughter is quite fussy so breakfast wasn't really her thing.

Beautiful little hotel. Rooms were airy and very comfortable. We love the little veranda overlooking the river.

“Soulless hotel, very rude staff”

We were shocked to be shouted at by a member of staff at this hotel. She was aggressive and rude. It’s a problem the hotel is unstaffed from 14:00. Very little information is provided and none about bike storage or breakfast. There’s no bar, only a vending machine. Hardly any tea or coffee in the room. No-one replies to emails or to messages to the phone number provided. The window in our room was so high it felt like a prison. The towels were the size of hand towels - no bath towels. A designer hotel without warmth or soul.

The breakfast was served in the lobby/hall which was just outside the rooms. Breakfast started at 7 so we were awoken at 7 by the noise of the staff and guests.

Very comfortabe room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.

“Fantastic experience”

The self check in seemed doubtful but the email sent before end worked beautifully. All the necessary information is in the email. We even to get our bikes in the protect bike parking. The breakfast was fantastic.
