We loved the location, peace and quiet. Being so close to nature - had a bushbuck eating on the premises, saw monkeys and the bird sounds were awesome. Loved not having a TV, had time to play games and just chill

Beautiful farm with amazing views and perfect for cycling and hiking. The Grootvadersbos reserve is right on the border so easy to access and go on thier walks. The accomodation was clean and comfortable. Great facilities. Eileen is really amazing and accommodating. She went out of her way for us.

“Gorgeous Cottage in the Langeberg Mountains.”

Strawberry Hill farm and cottages are right at the entrance to Groot Vadersbosch Conservancy and hiking trails. This is a huge bonus as this is the main appeal for visitors along with mountain biking in the area. The cottage was eco-friendly, super comfy, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Jenny's cottage is light, modern and airy, has a big shower, all kitchen appliances, crockery,cutlery, and even a full oven and dishwasher. Owner, Aileen, was communicative,sent detailed directions and was warm and welcoming and kindly left firewood, little niceties like eco friendly shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had a lovely feel to it. The cottage has a good outdoor braai, small braai deck and furniture and the little garden attracts bird life.

The location and faculties were excellent. Everything we needed was there and we felt completely at home. Plenty of walks in the beautiful natural surroundings. The little swimming hole was perfect for those hot days.

I enjoyed my stay at Baardskeerdersbos Strawberry Hill Farm but I am having to think about what I say, which is not normal for me. My reviews usually flow. Lovely kitchen with an indoor hearth in which we made a fire while we cooked, as the weather was a bit chilly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with clean linen and there is plenty of hot water. The views are spectacular. Luckily for the owner the cleaning staff, and particularly Andre, was there. He saved the day for us in terms of our enjoyment.
