This family-run design hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Beitostølen Ski Resort. It offers a personal touch, hearty food and themed rooms in a traditional, Norwegian timber house. Herangtunet Hotel is surrounded by picturesque forests and lakes, close to the shores of the Heggefjord. Guests can relax peacefully in the garden or on the terrace. Herangtunet’s rooms are full of character. Their unique style and décor is inspired by various cities and countries from around the world. All rooms include slippers for comfort and a tea/coffee maker for convenience. The popular and cosy hotel restaurant has a wood-burning stove and serves typical Norwegian dishes. Relaxation options include a sauna and a hot tub. More active guests can try fishing, hiking or canoeing. The town of Heggenes is 5 minutes' drive away, while Fagernes is 20 km away.

“Wonderful place.”
This is a wonderful place. Just off the road between the trees. Communication with the owner (Danielle, she and het husband are Dutch and run the Lodge) was excellent. Upon arrival they were there to welcome us. We were there for just one night traveling from Oslo to Geiranger. The Lodge is more a luxury B&B than a hotel. Danielle and Dennis take care of the Lodge, the rooms and the breakfast. This is all done in with a lot of care and attention. Breakfast was excellent and you can literally have it any way you like by ordering everything you can wish for the night before. The restaurant (in the same building) is run by another couple and they do a very good job. The dinner was excellent and the service meticulously. We would definitely come again.

It is located near Beitostølen and surrounded by forest and lake, thus you can enjoy famous place and also keep yourselves from the noise of the crowd. The hotel is a very fascinating Norwegian old building but modernized with sensuous design. We had a good time there. It seems to be a popular place for dinner as well.

“Worth it.”
First of all - it's very designed place. From the parking place to restaurant - all of this countryside looking wooden paradise gives you that feeling of Old Good North. Not far-away-very-cold-north, but another one - natural, wooden and cozy place. It's a bit of mountain guest house style. But this particular one house much more hotel-style place. Everything new, clean. Stylish. Very nice restaurant.

“Marvelous”
We stayed at the Dutch room. It was so nicely decorated in Dutch style, and we love it. We arrived at the hotel a bit late in the evening and we didn't make a reservation for dinner. The chef, however, managed to fix it, and we could enjoy a delicious 3 course dinner. In addition, the breakfast is very good too. All the staff and the owner are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed a pleasant stay. Highly recommend.
