“Favourite hotel in France”

I’ve stayed at Le Vieux Moulin many times over the years, usually as a stop off on a cycle trip and I love it. It’s perfectly positioned for cycling the Rance Canal or cycling from Combourg as part of an Ile et Villaine tour. There’s safe garaging for bikes and cyclists are made very welcome. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely and the food is amazing. Definitely book an evening meal, it will not disappoint. Thank you Virginie and Fergal for another great stay. Hope to see you again next year

Interesting building, nice ambience, very comfortable room, family owned and run - very helpful and friendly, lovely food. Nice location with good parking on outskirts of a small town, off-road walking available from the door. Excellent value for money.

Excellent for an overnight stay en route to Cherbourg. Hotel room (especially bathroom) was a bit basic, but functional and spotless. Restaurant was much ‘smarter’ and food was excellent with very pleasant and helpful staff.

Good food and welcome

Such a warm welcome from the owners from the beginning of our stay. We had bikes and they were happy to store them in a secure place. The restaurant was lovely and the food was spectacular. We felt more like welcome friends than just a guest. We will definitely be back to this gem.

Good location within 40 mins of St Malo. Excellent dinner in the restaurant, friendly staff including the owner. Family run hotel. Good parking. Decent breakfast with excellent warm croissants.

Lovely accommodation, was greeted by the owner who was very helpful, definitely worth a stay , the food smelt lovely, unfortunately we had already eaten but will definitely return, ideal location for ferry .

A lovely characterful property, comfortable rooms, great food and attentive service. I arrived (early) in the middle of a Sunday lunch service and was immediately seated and prided with drinks and food. The owners locked my bike (and others) away securely for the evening.
