“Absolutely Best Stay.”

Absolutely beautiful location, sunsets were spectacular. The canyon with the sound of the waterfall in the background was soo calming. I even looked forward nightly to lighting a wood burning heater, and snuggling in the electric blanket heated bed.The staff cared for you like family, and saying the food was delicious is an understatement.

There was a booking error. Reserved for 3 nights for 2 people but they received the booking for 1 person and ultimately shortened our stay to 2 nights instead of 3. All the staff were friendly and ready to assist. The property was stunning and we enjoyed our stay.

Tanamara Lodge is wonderful. Perched high above the river with panoramic views. Built with love by our hosts Russell & Janice who treated us like valued guests. Rooms spacious & comfortable, each with unique & special touches. It was a stop on our way to Kruger but we should have stayed longer. Remarkable spot.

The most beautiful chalet and view over the Sabie river, everything was perfect and clean, attention to detail in the chalet is amazing. The food was excellent and the staff was great! Thank you tp Janice and Russell for this beautiful place!!

It was in an extremely beautiful setting with stunning views. Each chalet was extremely private, and the views from the terrace and private plunge pool were breathtaking. Each member of staff was friendly and highly attentive, from the owners to the night watchman who was always waiting with a torch to light our way when we went for dinner. The owners Russel and Janice always enquired if all was in order, and asked each day what we had done and they were also always ready to share their own stories and experiences and give advice on possible excursions etc. The all-round attention to detail and the thoughtfulness were out of this world. We were sad when the time came for us to leave. We would definitely visit again.

We loved the adventure arriving at Tanamera and the welcoming arrival provided by the Tanamera team. We were blown away by the design and fun aspects of the room that elevated the chalet and accommodation experience from the coloured glass bricks, waterfall shower feature, full length balcony looking down to the valley, personal plunge pool, and room appointments. When it comes to dining, menu options are relative to the number of potential residents (boutique offering, small scale) and whilst not adventurous, quality of the food is what youd expect for a luxury offering and is just what is needed following a day of exploration.
