Just 50 metres from the Myall River, Hawks Nest Motel features an outdoor pool and a covered barbecue area with outdoor seating. The Hawks Nest motel demonstrates that being old doesn’t necessarily mean an establishment has to be daggy and uncomfortable. Everything worked and we felt confident and comfortable. I don’t normally swim in motel pools but this one looked so good I couldn’t resist, even though it was late April. The bed linen was of high quality and there was plenty of room to spread out things without tripping over each other. The lady at reception made us feel welcome and pointed out all the key features on a tourist map.

“We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.”
We have been travelling from Sydney to Brisbane and back to Sydney staying at different motels and Airbnbs and by a country mile this motel was the cleanest we have stayed in. The location is quiet and very near the beach. Everything worked properly. The lady in reception was friendly and efficient. If only all motels could be like this one!

Perfect place for a getaway . 100 metres to the waterfront, and Close to everything . Staff were friendly and approachable and knowledgeable about the local area . Rooms were spotlessly clean , beds comfy .

“We had a nice stay, and the location was excellent.”
The room was very neat and tidy. The lady who greeted me in the Office was lovely. She told me a lot about the area, and how to get to these places. The bathroom was nice. Loved the Kitchenette. All the plates, cutlery and glasses, were all clean. Pool was nice and refreshing. The A/C worked really well. Loved the balcony. Location was fantastic. Not on a main road. So it was quiet.
