Superb location for short stay Worthy for the money

Room and facilities are excellent for the money.

Location, a short walk to town. View from room was amazing, as was the breakfast. Free use of kitchen was helpful. The owner was also friendly and helpful.

Very nice, spacious room with a balcony offering an amazing view over the tea plantations. Liked staying there. The owner is very nice and allowed me to store my backpack after checkout as I was exploring the surroundings before continuing my travels.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at White House Bungalow Hatton, and overall it was a truly lovely experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Their hospitality really made the stay feel comfortable and relaxed. The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean, with a lovely balcony that offered a peaceful view — the perfect spot to unwind with a cup of tea. The hotel is also conveniently located close to Hatton city centre and nearby amenities, making it easy to access shops and essentials. One of the standout features was the great kitchen facilities. Having access to a well-equipped kitchen added so much convenience and flexibility to the stay.

We spent two nights in Hatton at the White House Bungalow before continuing to Ella. The rooms very clean, the beds comfortable and the view from the balcony amazing! You can see the tea plantations and the surrounding hills. It takes a 10 minute walk to get to the town centre. You can take nice walks in the surrounding tee plantations and small roads. The Hotel has a shared kitchen in the basement which was very clean and has everything you need. The owner was very kind and organised us a taxi service for the whole day to bring us to Ella and do some sightseeing on the way!

The room was good, with an amazing view and balcony! The staff were so so friendly and helped with absolutely everything, they really were great. The breakfast was also fantastic. Good place to stay for Hatton and good access to Adam’s Peak by drive!

Our stay in Hatton was perfect! Best price/performance rate during our Sri Lanka trip 😊 we and our friends were overwhelmed with the size of our rooms and the modern bathroom. Well done, hosts! The tasty Srilankan (or English) breakfast was also available for a small fee. You can reach the town, the shop and restaurant on foot in 5-10 minutes. Besides that, it is a great spot to start your Adam's Peak adventure (less then 1,5 hrs away from the start of the hike). Highly reccommended!

“Simple but lovely, great views.”

Host was extremely accommodating and very helpful to us. It's basic, but all you need. The rooms are large with tall ceilings and great view of the mountains with a small balcony. Good location just out of town, hot shower and clean towels provided. And a bottle of water. Good little chill tv zone. Fans are very powerful.
