Wonderful low-key but stylish traditional tea house with a large balcony with views down across the tea plantation valley. Very comfortable room with all facilities. Lovely food. Lovely young manager Sam looked after us perfectly. Interesting tea factory tour 20mins away by tuk-tuk.

“Good insight into village life”

The staff were so helpful organising an early morning tuk tuk to Adams Peak and a visit to a working tea factory on the way back. We didn’t get back to the hotel until after 11am but they still prepared a lovely breakfast for us. The location was quiet with walking tracks to some small villages, a water fall, town and amongst the tea fields. We even drank tea from their tea plantation. Everything was perfect

Beautiful location, excellent facilities, and very accomodating staff. They made our stay so easy and assisted with all our questions around connecting transport including making phone calls to the train operator on our behalf. The facilities and our room were a lot fancier than we had anticipated, which was a bonus positive. The food was also delicious, with generous portions. Staff went out of their way to prepare us an early breakfast before our departure. Recommend as a one-night stay while travelling through Hatton.

“I highly recommend Tea Hills Bungalow as a great place to stay for Adam's Peak”

This was our third accommodation during our two week holiday. It was a contrast to the more luxury Hotel we'd come from but Tea Hills Bungalow gave us the warmest and most genuine welcome and experience of our holiday. The staff clearly wanted their guests to have the best time! We had a family room which opened out into a communal sitting area with some kitchen facilities. The room and ensuite bathroom was functional. There was hot water, no air-conditioning but this was definitely not needed when we visited in early February. We could hear tuk tuks and crickets (!) outside but this didn't worry us too much because we were here for a purpose! The staff arranged a driver to collect us at 1am to drive us to the start of Adam's Peak and collect us when we'd finished the hike (around 8:30am). Such was their kindness, the manager got up at 1am to make sure we were okay, offered us a torch (not needed for the hike) and to wish us well. This kindness was above and beyond! The food was amongst the best we had perhaps in our whole holiday. The chef takes great pride in his work and Sam waited on our table impeccably- he was really helpful - including introducing us to the resident parrot! They provided breakfast for us when we got back from the hike too! We chose the location to be outside of a town (to escape the noise and hustle and bustle that a town in Sri Lanka brings with it) but close enough for us to get to Adam's Peak which we wanted to hike. During our stay we visited their sister hotel for an afternoon cup of tea. It is more modern than Tea Hills Bungalow and has a swimming pool which they said we were welcome to use. Overall, I would highly recommend Tea Hills Bungalow as a great place to stay for Adam's Peak. Staff and food are excellent and the accommodation was perfectly functional for the purpose we wanted it for!

“Perfect location in the tea fields & super friendly staff”

Very welcoming and friendly staff. A great bed and breakfast vibe.

The rooms and lounging areas are massive, and the food is honestly lovely. ​Luxman was so accommodating, even driving us to the supermarket in the heavy rain and showing us the waterfalls and church. He also helped us make one of the best decisions of our trip by suggesting we climb Adam's Peak on our checkout day to catch the best weather. We went for it and it was a total highlight. This place really grows on you and the staff make you feel so welcome. We also really enjoyed meeting Coco the dog and Leo the parrot.

The owner and the staff were very friendly. They were willing to arrange anything that I asked them to, including transport, sightseeing tours etc.

A beautiful property with amazing staff!

Very spacious room, with a lot of windows and beautiful view. In addition to that, there is a huge common space inside for the guests as well as a nice balcony Accommodation direcly surrounded by the tee plantations. Very professionnel staff and good service. Generous and tasty meals, especially the local ones.

From the moment we arrived we were treated so well by all the staff, their attentiveness was great. We arranged dinner for that evening and were treated to a spread fit for a king!

“A must must see”

Sam and the team are amazing, they cant do enough to make your stay here perfect. The hotel is situated outside of town with beautiful stunning backdrop of the tea hills and is lovley and quiet. The food is amazing. The property is close to waterfalls and a great tea tour in norton. Cant recommend enough. Sam is an absolute asset to the hotel.

“Magical stay”

It is a magical place and my room was amazing. Very big and spacious with a 4 postwr bed and huge windows to take in the view. There was another room upstairs which I didn't use. The bathroom is basic, but spotlessly clean and functional, with a hot water shower and toiletries. The staff are all so kind and welcoming. Sam was especially lovely and I felt very welcome and looked after. The views over the tea plantations are amazing and the sunset view.. wow! Dinner was wonderful - huge portions. I chose grilled fish. and couldn't finish it. Free water and a nice breakfast too with fresh fruit, eggs and toast. Thank you for a welcoming and wonderful stay. 🤗

“A delightful stay , wish I could have stayed longer”

The view of the tea plantations & distant hills was wonderful It was very peaceful Lots of lovely pot plants plus a beautiful mural of Sri Pada!
