Enjoy life in a genuine tea bungalow.

High up in the tea country this original tea bungalow is in excellent condition mand a sight to behold. It has beautiful gardens and views from every window, and tea on the patio is a must. The rooms are in traditional style and while basic, perfectly adequate. There is a large sitting room and dining room for guest use as well . They have a nice menu of traditional Sri Lankan and European dishes. It makes a useful base if you are exploring the area and trails.

Fantastic colonial style accommodation with a huge room overlooking the beautiful garden. I did the tea tour which was 100% recommended. So informative. The bungalow is located in the plantations and i walk up into them in the early morning and took some great photos. The food was excellent. This is a beautiful area, I wish I could have stayed longer.

Lovely stay, delicious food, highly recommend

Wonderful location, lovely garden. Very helpful staff, Murali made our stay very comfortable and gave us some useful information from on the Pekoe trail stages which we were grateful for. Highly recommend getting dinner here as it was delicious (we had masala dosa) and perfect vegan food for both meals we had.

Unforgettable Stay – Highlight of Our 3 Weeks in Sri Lanka

A stunning place right in the middle of a tea plantation, full of unique style and atmosphere. The staff, led by Murali, were exceptional – friendly, helpful, very attentive, and well organised, making sure we had everything we needed. Hatton and Norwood is a beautiful, peaceful area – a true hidden gem, very different from the touristy Nuwara Eliya. Murali recommended a hike along the Pekoe Trail through the plantations, which offered breathtaking views. For anyone interested in tea, we highly recommend the comprehensive guided tour "The Tea Fields" with Rimas to learn about the history, cultivation, and production of tea.

We absolutely loved the place! We had a magnificent stay and would have liked to have stayed longer than the two days we had planned! The hosts were extremely kind and attentive - they even helped me organize a birthday surprise for my husband. The house and garden are amazing; the location in the tea hills is outstanding. We walked a section of the Pekoe trail right from the estate, and one can head out for other activities as well. Highly recommended! We will definitely return one day!

Not to be missed if you're doing the Pekoe Trail in this area.

Amazing staff that were very attentive and more than happy to assist with our plans (both Murali and Shri always with a smile on their face!) Full of great advice about the Pekoe Trail and organizing us to do stage 8. Nothing seemed to be an issue and made our stay so easy. Packed lunches, great food everytime and as many cups of tea/coffee as you desire. Amazing hospitality, will be back and recommend to others.

English cottage in Norwood/Hatton

One of our best stop on the Pekoe Trail. Former English cottage with a stunning curated garden. Our room was large and the bathroom had a bath tub and a shower. The manager Murali is a top organiser; just share your needs. The Tea Plantation Tour with Rimas, he has on offer, is a must!

We had a wonderful stay in Tea Queens Bungalow and if we had more time we would definitely have stayed longer. Murali is a great host and taught us so much about the pekoe trail (he is also a guide) and about the tea plantations and the history - thank you for answering all our questions 😊 the dinner was delicious with so many different dishes and flavours! Would definitely recommend!! Thank you for everything!

Great located for pekoe trail + tea field tour

Had an unforgettable vacation at Tea Queens Bungalow! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and warm they truly made us feel at home. The highlight of our stay was the beautifully guided tea field tour, which was both scenic and informative. Staying at Tea Queens also gave us access to special offers and experiences that made the trip even more memorable! Perfectly located along Pekoe Trail Stages 7 & 8, this bungalow is a hidden gem for nature lovers and trekkers. The views are breathtaking, the rooms are cozy and well-kept, and every moment spent here felt peaceful and recharging. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Sri Lanka’s hill country with a touch of luxury and genuine hospitality. And also they have a lot of executions around Norwood. Can’t wait to come back. We will definitely be back on our next vacation

Great staff, great location and great food.

Fabulous old tea plantation bungalow with exceptional staff who look after your every needs. Can highly recommend. It’s perfectly located for sections 7&8 of the Pekoe Trail and the manager is so helpful in arranging tuk-tuks to the start of a section or to pick up if you only wish to do a part of a section. We also did the e-bike tour which is also a great way to see the plantations and villages. Last but not least was the quality of the food. We had veg curry and quite superb; breakfast was also excellent
