“Great place for value, friendly staff and great common area!”

Great place for value! A big common room with many boardgames and manga available, TV, PlayStation! The shared kitchen is big and has everything you need to cook. Free tea, cheap coffee, and good cheap food. Very family-friendly. The staff was very nice!

“Nice place with everything inside”

I can tell so many positive things about that place. First, all beds are divided by walls and you feel almost like on your own room. Second, they have their own kitchen and bar! Also you can cook by yourself. And third, staff were very nice.

“Great stay in a practical location”

Room was a lot of fun, would be perfect for families. Loved all the facilities downstairs we mostly used the table tennis and go set ! Showers and toilets were kept in good condition.

After a great experience from 2023 I came back with another group, even bigger (26ppl instead of 19 last time) and it was a great decision.

Great facilities. Would be amazing for families. Close to the train stations and some little local restaurants. Easy to get i to the city and to Miyajima Boat station

More like staying in a small hotel, equiped with a staffed kitchen and drink machines that you can buy food from as well as a large lounging area, tv, pingpong table. The dormitory is a large room with beds not bunks, seperated by privacy screens. Having an actual bed to sleep on is a nice change from other dorms. Its an older building which is noticible in some of the facilities but kept well cleaned and maintained. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Very close to Miyajima and Iwakuni by train so those are two very nice spots to do sightseeing. I recommend looking into the hiroden day passes etc if you plan on going into Hiroshima city often as the travel fare can stack up quickly.

“Best hostel I've ever stayed in”

What a fantastic hostel!!!! Masako and her husband were such amazing hosts, so friendly and funny. I accidently left my watch when we checked out, and Masako posted it to our next hotel!! The showers were so clean, our room was spacious and had a lovely view of the bay from the balcony. And the breakfast was so generous considering it only cost 500 - 600yen. Distance is 10min tram ride from the hostel, tram station about a 5min walk. Again, highly recommend Omotenashi Hostel, such amazing hospitality wish we could have stayed longer xx

“Peaceful hostel conveniently located for Miyajima”

Very friendly staff I liked the concept of the shared dorm so much with the walls and the curtain, you have a lot of space for yourself and your luggage. Lot of free ameneties like bathroom equipment, slippers etc. Super nice view from the rooftop. Bicycle rental for amazing 200 or 250 yen (I forgot) per day! Very conveniently located if you wanns head early to Miyajima the next day because you can easily catch an early ferry. The super slow tram takes 1hr from Hiroshima so this hostel is worth it! Also, I was glad to escape the noise of the city. They also offer cheap breakfast options for 500 yen (which I didnt take because I headed out early). Lot of big showers.

Loved the location right next to the sea, food, entertainment. One of the best hostels I had in Japan!

“Wonderful, friendly hostel”

I liked the individual, screened beds in shared room. There were plenty of bathrooms and lavatories and they were immaculately clean. Simple, cheap food is available. Nice to have families with children staying.. Fabulous friendly staff Catch the train to Zigozen 5 minutes Miyauchikushido is about 25 minutes walk.....they are different lines.

“We loved it”

The shared / common areas are wonderful. The rooms are big with AC. In the common areas there is so much space to eat, enough tables for multiple people to sit at and eat together that it doesn’t feel crowded. The seating in the living room is very good too. One of us spent a day drawing there without any disturbance. It is possible to microwave, toast, grill, cook your own food. There are enough dishes, bowls, cups for everyone, also knifes, cutting boards, pans, pots, and there’s a rice cooker, a microwave and plates. There’s a shared fridge with enough room. Hot tap water 24/7. For families: diapers, toys, play area provided. For teens: shelves full of manga as room separators. A ping pong table. 5min away from tram. 30 minutes public transport to insanely beautiful shrine & temple island Miyajima. Vending machines. Free amenities from toothbrush to toner to shaving equipment to combs for free. ROOFTOP! It’s just amazing to sit there and admire the ocean view. Sunrise & sundown over the sea! The staff was awesome and helpful, we could put stickers on a map with our countries. Big, big YES. We recommend it ! Car parking also available for a fee. We loved all about it.

Great facilities , great staff, room was BIG. Hostel was a little out of the city but train station was a 5 min walk so no issue. They have a little shop and cook food on site

“The gem”

That's the most comfortable hostle I have ever seen with so many facilities and so clean. The facilities for kids exceeded any expectations and the special toom with slides was just magical. They do cook up till 21:30 so you can not worry about late dinner. Abd the variety in the bar is great. The prices are exceptionally affordable. The staff is great. The location is convenient for Irsukushima Jinjia visiting especially if you with car. Private parking needs reservation. Don't worry about shared toilet facilities - those are exceptionally clean. We will definitely stay again if around.
