Located in the heart of Hawke’s Bay Wine Country, Hawthorne House Bed and Breakfast is a 7-minute drive from Hastings city centre and only 8 minute’s drive from Havelock North. Breakfast at Hawthorne House includes mostly organic and locally grown produce, such as eggs which are from the property’s own free-range chickens. Each bedroom features high ceilings, French doors and a veranda with garden views. All rooms include digital TV and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms have a modern bathroom. Relax on the comfortable sofas in the guest lounge or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the garden and surrounding paddocks.

“Fabulous”
Everything is really well thought through, we had a lovely warm welcome and it feels like a real home. We were there when the cyclone struck and Peter and Paul could not have been better hosts. They cooked an amazing breakfast with no power, then a great lunch, then supper with all the chaos that the storm brought, and the worries of how this was going to affect them and the amazing community around them. We could not of stayed anywhere better!

“Hands down the best stop on our trip”
The location was beautiful, the rooms were absolutely gorgeous. Peter and Paul were so lovely and the breakfast the next morning was to die for. We will definitely be coming back here again. A little pricey but would totally pay it again. Thank you so much Peter and Paul for your amazing hospitality

“I am very happy to recommend Hawthorne House. We felt pampered and looked after in every sense.”
We were welcomed as if we were friends of the family. The hosts were generous, friendly, and accomodating. The room and general spaces were so comfortable, we spent an afternoon just sitting in the garden, enjoying a bottle of wine, and chatting. The breakfasts were also delicious and kept us going through our busy days as tourists.

The house has been tastefully renovated & very comfortable as well as being private with access to the garden, being near all the vineyards & just down the road from Hastings. Also recommended places to visit was very helpful & enjoyable; supporting local businesses that are establishing themselves & providing quality services. Really enjoyed discovering the region!
