ibis Styles Hasselt City Centre is a unique boutique hotel with an '80s concept and is ideally situated in the city centre next to the main shopping area and the train station. “It's not a 10 but it feels like one”
It's not a 10 but it feels like one. Location is great! It's next to the city center and there is a parking area close by (Astrid parking) which is free outside 9-21 MON-SAT (otherwise 2e/hr). Cleanness was also formidable (just don't look behind the TV). Wifi was present and easy to access. Staff was tentative and helpful. I got a free drink because I put a no room cleaning needed sign at the door. Staff did not as for my ID but I booked via Booking so they have all my details anyway. A very nice cafe-bar just across the street called Cafe Van Veldeke (nice local atmosphere). Ah yes. Shower was excellent! Great stream of instantaneous hot water. I loved it!

I booked the room for my mother who neither speaks the local language nor English. The staff were so friendly, they did very much of their best to host her and she left extremely happy.

Showerdrain wasn't functional so started to flood the bathroom floor. Can happen of course, noticing it middle of the night was sort of an annoyance.
