The property was exceptional. Will definitely return. Ruth greeted us with a smile and showed us around. All the basics were there for us, tea, coffee, rusks, milk etc. A lovely bottle of wine and freshly made scones with jam and butter. Linen and toiletries were of high quality. Everywhere was very clean.

“Home away from home with exceptional views”

The villa was peaceful and quiet, exactly what my family and I needed. The rooms are spacious which was great for the kids to still play around the house without breaking anything. It would be great for the host to consider having plastic plates, cups, and cutlery for the kids. We didn't braai, so I can't comment on those appliances. Basically we loved the place, felt very homey...and few personal touches by the host were heart-warming. Nothing makes my heart warm like the provision of essentials in a self-catering home...the water, the milk, coffee, tea, bathing essentials...and the smell of the fresh linen!!I mean those things means the host is welcoming, I loved that..thank you Marchant.

Fabulous stay. Where do I begin to describe the home in a way that does it justice? Our host Marchand was gracious and solicitous. He responded promptly to all questions and queries. He gave clear instructions and directions, it was like he was right there with us. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a bottle of wine, plenty of fresh fruit and plenty of bottled water. Our housekeeper Ruth was lovely. She welcomed us and helped us unload. She kept the home spotlessly clean and she baked some delicious scones which we had for breakfast on day 2. The home is beautifully appointed with real attention to detail. Everything exceeded our expectations from the view of the small lake to the sweeping spiral staircase and the chandelier above the staircase. The 4 bedrooms were lovely but the master bedroom and bathroom were (are) just spectacular. The place is quiet and relaxing and has a sense of seclusion as though we were not in a golf estate with other houses nearby. We loved the air conditioning and though we did not use the feature, we noted there is under floor heating for the winter months. We enjoyed using the gas braai on the downstairs verandah overlooking the lake. We did not get to use the swimming pool, that's reserved for our next visit as we only stayed 2 nights. We learnt that this home is new on booking.com and we were the second set of guests, but our whole experience was as if our hosts have been doing this for a long time. We felt at home. We will be back

“Great location, luxury accommodation, great hosts, beautiful views”

Home away from home. I stayed here with my family over my kids half-term break and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is gorgeous and beautifully furnished, everything works perfectly, including the wifi, the host, Marchant, was always available to assist with questions and went out of his way to ensure we are comfortable. They left snacks for the kids and us and even baked us scones! It honestly felt like we were at home, in a lap of luxury with a cinema sized Tv in the lounge. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool and reading my book while lying on the big couches on the balcony. There’s also an option for a cleaning service and there’s a washing machine. They’ve thought about everything. I will definitely be back here. Thanks for a lovely stay Marchant.
