Overview
Situated in the foothills of the Drakenburg Escarpment, Wild Horses Lodge features a tranquil garden with an outdoor pool overlooking the Sterkfontein Dam. This sandstone hotel offers many water activities. The spacious suites are designed with luxurious finishes and en-suite bathrooms. Some rooms have a balcony and all feature views of the garden and lake. Guests can enjoy meals prepared by the Restaurant in the elegant dining room or on the terrace. The communal lounge has floor-heating and there is Wi-Fi access throughout. Wild Horses is surrounded by the wildlife of Sterkfontein Nature Reserve and has many hiking trails. Other out-door activities include horse riding, fishing, windsurfing and canoeing, or guests can enjoy a massage in their suite. Free parking is available on site and an airport shuttle is available upon request. OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg is 323 km away.

The hospitality and welcoming were friendly. The lodge is a work of art every corner hides something amazing. The view over the Sterkfontein dam is breathtaking. The meals were delicious, beautifully presented and we did not leave the table hungry..Well done to the Chef.

The breakfast was lovely; everything was more than we expected. The chef spoke to us the night before to tell us what was being served for breakfast, and if all the guests were happy with it.

This was the most magnificent place and has completely stolen my heart. Every day was perfect from start to finish. The food was exceptional their chef is a superstar. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. The horses are beautiful. The stay was like visiting an art museum and was the most luxurious and beautiful place. I would go back 100 times.
