“Absolutely amazing!!”

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. I originally booked a budget room, but was lucky enough to receive an upgrade — and wow, what a surprise. The room was absolutely fantastic, with a spacious balcony and truly breathtaking views over the mountains, rolling hills, and tea plantations. Waking up to that scenery was incredible. The breakfast was excellent, and the dinner was just as good if you decide to eat there as well. The hotel can also help arrange tours and activities. I booked a trip to Lipton’s Seat through them, which turned out to be a beautiful experience and a really enjoyable tour. A special mention as well for the layout and atmosphere of the property itself. The garden is beautifully designed and full of tropical plants, which makes the whole place feel peaceful and unique. But what really made the stay stand out was the staff. Everyone was unbelievably kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

We loved our stay at Leisure Mount Villa - truly one of our favorites. It is located beautifully in the mountains. We loved the food (amazing curry, especially the aubergine), and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We recommend taking the cooking class! And although Hashan, the owner does not market their social impact, the hotel is doing a lot of great things for the community. It is great to know that spending time at the hotel is supporting a good cause!

The hotel has two parts, big rooms overlooking the great view and a small bungalow in the garden. The garden is lovely and well kept. Breakfast buffet had lots of choice and nice food. The staff were lovely and attentive. Do the cooking lesson as it was fun.

We had an excellent stay in this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was vast and excellent, as well as all other food we enjoyed. The location and the views are astonishing. But fist and foremost, it was the manager Hashan and his mother Chitra who made us feel very welcome. Though not advertised, the hotel employs single mothers and young people who normally wouldn't easily find employment. Hashan pays them all an above average salary, so they really can build a future. And they all were friendly and very proficient. Also in many other ways, the hotel helps the local community. There are cooking classes at a very nice small farmhouse at the premises. The money goes to underprivileged children in and around Haputale. The groceries come directly from their own garden. Hashan, like his mother, is very modest about their endeauvors to bring the local society forward.

“Is that a painting or reality?”

We had a room with tea plantation views and it was gorgeus. The place is quiet, comfy, balcony was superb place to chill. There are pekoe trails going around, must go for a good adventure.

It was in the tea fields so the view was lovely! We had an amazing buffet for dinner and the food was delicious.

Breath taking view and clean room. Apart from few areas with spider webs (i am paranoid with spiders) very clean and does not smell bad (like most places in Sri Lanka tbh..mouldy smell...)

We stayed at the main house, the rooms were great, super clean, spacious. The view from the balcony and the rooftop was unbeatable! The breakfast was great as well (especially when it was Sri Lankan). The owner was kind and very helpful. Overall a great choice for Haputale, highly recommended!

Everything was perfect. These are probably the best money we have spent in Sri Lanka. We are on a budget and got the cheapest room, which still felt like a luxury hotel. The view was exceptional, the crew were incredibly helpful and sweet and the breakfast was the best we had gotten yet. Huge recommendation.

It's a very beautiful acommodation. It has different categories of rooms which also allows the budget travellers to enjoy this hotel and these beautiful views. The staff was very professional and friendly. The room was in a good state and very clean. The bathroom has warm water, there was a warm blanket, a water kettle, tea and coffee. The terrasse with the room was nice and on the rooftop of the main building there was a beautiful view on the mountains. The restaurant was rather expensive for a budget traveller but the food looked very well presented and it probably is very tasty. It's not too far from the city centre, a 20 minute walk or you can take the local bus or tuktuk. The cameras around the property gave me a feeling of safety. the manager is most kind. When we had some problems with our laundry (because of my mistake there were bleach stains on it), they didn't charge for the washing and he even went to the shop late in the evening to buy new clothes for us, while it wasn't even their fault at all. I can only recommend this place! I would definitely come back here.
