The views from the terrace are stunning, and the family running the home stay are very welcoming! We stayed one night while doing the pekoe trail. We totally recommend the place.

“Amazing hosts and great view what not to like”

We had the most amazing week. Shafny and his families hospitality is amazing. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts and evening meals our room was large and clean with a fabulous view from the terrace and all this just a 10 minute walk from the railway station . We hired Shafny’s scooter and he gave us great recommendations for places to visit. Would definitely rebook it is such good value

“Chilled in the Hills”

I had originally booked a place in bustling Ella, but opted for the calm of Haputale instead. Pleased I did as this relaxed town is a great base from which to explore the area. Owner has scooter you can rent and you can get Ella by scooter in 45 mins. Room is basic but what you would expect for the price. Staff are super friendly and food is great.

The hospitality of the family was absolutely amazing. They made sure at all times that we had the best possible stay. We had dinner there every night and it was delicious and very complete. The breakfast was also nice and we always had tea available whenever we wanted. We couldn’t be more happy! Also there’s hot water!!!

It’s a very nice guesthouse run by a family. We felt very welcomed by everybody there. They organise pick up from town to their place when you arrive. They explain and offer help with organising trips to local attractions. We also had the chance to rent a scooter for a good price so we had freedom to visit places. When we rest on the terrace, grandma came to offer some tea. It’s was a pleasure to stay there - it’s very authentic 😊

“Sunrise views”

We were well looked after by Shafny and his family. The view is excellent and lovely place to relax and have breakfast. Breakfast was included and was very nice, omelette, pancakes, fruit and toast. Its a 5 min walk through a cut through to town and we rented a scooter from Shafny that was in excellent condition and great for our trips. The family hospitality is 10/10 and offered advice and what to do in the area. The bed was comfortable.

“Lovely stay for a night of two”

It is a simple yet very comfortable accommodation. It is an easy walk away from the railway station and the bus stop. The breakfast is nice, the hosts are very kind. The room and bathroom is clean (only the bathroom would need a bit of renovation). I had warm water and warm blankets for the night. The view supposed to be nice, but it was misty and cloudy mostly when I was there.

Lovely home stay in the sweet town of Haputale. Amazing mountain views from the terrace! The host is super helpful and nice! We got offered tea, papaya juice etc. randomly during the day and the host helped us choose activities around Haputale and recommended good restaurants in town! Breakfast is also included and is super tasty. Bed and blankets were comfortable and there was enough space for our stuff. Would 100% recommend:)!!

The room is simple and a bit small but comfortable. The terrace used for evening meals and breakfast is great with a fantastic view and we could use it also for yoga. The owners are very nice and helpful
