“Incredible scenery, friendly family”

I loved my stay here, I had a magical time! The family so so kind and felt very at home. great location and easy to get to some amazing hikes!

Very welcoming and homely inn by the proprietor. Fantastic views. Discussions on what we would like for breakfast and dinner - basically cooked to order. They also provided a tuk-tuk pickup from the train station. Couldn't ask for more, really.

The Host Mr. Charuka is super friendly. Very Supportive. The location has a great view and cute little doggos for any pup lovers.. Food is good and very comfortable place where you can enjoy every bit of the stay.

“Peaceful stay with warm personal touches”

I had a lovely stay at Amaya Guest Inn. It’s a peaceful, family-run guesthouse with a really welcoming atmosphere. The host provided excellent service throughout my stay. The welcome tea and cakes, enjoyed overlooking the view, were such a thoughtful touch and the perfect way to end the day. The location is also ideal - on the edge of town, so it’s close enough to walk in easily but far enough away to avoid any noise. A relaxing and memorable place to stay.

We booked this place last minute and were very happy to find this place. The host is extremely kind and welcoming, and very passionate about the place he lives. We had a quiet and very clean room, and the breakfast was delicious. And the view from this guest stay is just amazing! Unfortunately we spent only 1 night...

“Room with a view”

We loved everything. Our KING room opened onto the far end of the balcony/patio, so it was very private. Breakfasts were a mix of western and Sri Lankan, with wonderful locally grown tea. (If you need your coffee fix first thing, bring your own instant. There's a common kettle and cups to make your own). We ate two dinners at Amaya, and they were delish as well. The view is spectacular and the location is perfect: close to the center of town but a couple of streets over, so it is really quiet. Highly recommended.

Wow, the view is absolutely amazing from the balcony! Hosts were fabulous and packed our breakfast to take with us on our bicycles as we were leaving at 6.30am. Room was large and clean, property had good security and only a small number of rooms.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful about local areas of interest. Their dinners (Sri Lankan-style) were delicious.

The lovely located villa with an extraordinary view. It must be one of the best experience eating the breakfast there when the weather is sunny. Spacious common space with balcony and living room. The owner was very nice and polite, welcomed us with charming smile in the middle of the night. Everything was super clean and tidy. 5 stars breakfast with local product included.

We loved our stay at Amaya View Guest Inn. We arrived after a long trainride, when it was cold and rainy. While my partner got tea to watch the sunset from the balcony, I took a hot shower and slipped in the bed with clean linen with warm blanket. So comfortable! We decided to stay one night longer, because we liked it so much: the view, the breakfast, the owner familiy, our room - just everything. The vegetable curry in the evening was also very tasty!

Spacious room with 2 double beds. The owners were very helpful, serving us tea on arrival and breakfast earlier on the day of departure, as we were catching an early train. The location is very convenient for the centre 7-8 min to the train station. We had amazing views from the breakfast room when the fog subsided.
