Overview
The Chalets Motel offers charming self-contained cottages with scenic mountain views. Featuring a DVD library, it is just 600 metres from hot pools and Hanmer Springs’ village centre. Heated chalets feature wood panelling and come with full kitchen. They offer parking space, a DVD player and comfortable lounge areas. For leisure, mountain biking and rafting trips can be arranged at the tour desk. Other facilities include a garden, barbecue areas and a children’s playground. The Chalets is steps from fine shops and eateries at the village centre. It is a 1.5-hour drive from Christchurch International Airport.

The chalet we stayed in was clean and had everything we needed. The outlook was beautiful. The location feels quiet and peaceful, set away from the main village but still a very close walk to get there. We will definitely return to stay here. We have previously stayed in hotels but this was a whole lot nicer.
