The hotel offers many spaces within the grounds to enjoy the scenery, which makes it easy to relax without rushing around. Service was attentive and professional, and the dining, shopping, and salon options on site were all of very good quality. A comfortable and well-balanced stay overall.

“Treated like a VIP with luxurious amenities and landscaped compound”
It’s absolutely beautiful, like a tourist attraction on its own with its own history and culture, residing on a very large compound facing the West Lake, with beautiful landscaped gardens and villas. As we stay at building 7 which is far away from the main building 8, we are glad that there is a reception at building 7 which makes it very convenient that we could get taxis and do our checkouts. The room is beautiful. The toilet floor is heated and so is the toilet seat, which makes it comfortable to use in winter. There are luxurious accompanying toiletries and room facilities. It is a perfect resort to relax in with a private part of the West Lake to enjoy. To get to other places, one would need a taxi as the attractions are rather too far to walk. But it is possible for taxis to ride directly to the building where we stay which makes it convenient.

Is very beautiful hotel and lovely gardens with Chinese water lily ponds. Situation right at West Lake, the views are spectacular. So serene and calm anywhere you walk in the garden. Staffs are very professional, efficient and helpful. Food at both cafe and Chinese restaurant are very tasty and creative.

We got free upgrade to a building 8 room - was very spacious and quiet, amazing views from the balcony. Breakfast was really great value and delicious. The whole area was just very beautiful. I would definitely go back and stay again!

Brilliant location, thoughtful and helpful staff . Specially thanks to staff Chen Jie ( 陈洁）delivered the little gift to the room, make us stay more welcome. The unique way of delivery kid’s package is best way to cheer up the kids travelling with adults. It is very impressed and excited to start holiday in West Lake State Guest House.

Everything is excellent. Food, facilities, staff, room. I travelled with my big family including my 90-year old grandma as well younger kids. It was a very nice stay.
