The cabana was very clean and comfortable and extremely spacious with everything you would need in a kitchen. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and the views of the ocean are stunning. The hostess Fidji gave us the warmest welcome at the airport with a lay of beautiful flowers and gave a tour on the way to the hotel. She was extremely helpful and booked restaurants and shows for us and truly nothing was too much, she was incredible and made our stay! We were even given a delicious pineapple from the grounds which was the best we’ve ever tried!

“Pleasant stay in nature with beautiful views”

The location is beautiful and peaceful. You can see the ocean and sunset from your terrace. Jerome has done a beautiful job planting trees and flowers so the property is green and full of life. It’s a charming place, and the owners are friendly and helpful if you have any questions. The towels and bedding were clean. There is no AC so the house gets very hot. There are also mosquitoes, and plug-in repellent is provided but it may be a good idea to bring a spray so you don’t get bitten. Fidji picked us up from the airport and dropped us back off, which was much appreciated.

“Fantastic island retreat”

A most delightful cabin set in tropical gardens with a secluded porch looking out over the sea. Fidji could not have been more helpful, arranging car hire, tour guide and providing fantastic information on the best places to shop eat and drink. The rooms were clean, very comfortable bed and the kitchen well equipped. Small touches like fresh flowers and real coffee for the kitchen made our stay just perfect.

“Perfect spot to explore the island!”

The lodge is perfect! Great bed and shower, and a small kitchen with everything needed to prepare a breakfast or a meal! Jerome and Fiji are great hostess!!! They provided us with all the information to explore the island, including the tours. We had a great time in Kona Koa!!! Fantástico!!!

What a gem of a place. We loved our visit at Kona Koa - the houses are roomy and comfy, with lots of privacy and tranquility. The owners are wonderful hosts and were helpful in finding us a tour guide, as well as booking restaurants and shows. We hope to be back someday!

“Enjoy nature and don’t expect 4 stars hotel )”

Nice location. It’s far away from the city – so you can really enjoy nature. Staff is sweet. It’s not at al a «luxury» accommodation. Tools are tired. But we liked this lodge.

Beautiful lodge-style accommodation with a tropical feel. Loved the decorative tree elements, open shower, little kitchen with water bottle and some basic ingredients, like coffee, tea, herbs and oils. Nice verandah with chairs to relax and enjoy the view towards the sea. Was great to rent a car from the friendly owners, and they helped organise tours with a local guide as well as a laundry service. Short drive to town as well as viewing point at Tahai.

“A privileged and outstanding stay in Rapa Nui”

The best possible stay in Rapa Nui, in a privileged area overlooking the sea and with very well-kept surrounding gardens. Fidji's friendliness and attention to detail made the stay memorable, and it was a privilege to spend the days in Kona Koa. The lodge can be easily accessed by car, and is very quiet and reserved.

We had a fantastic time at Kona Koa lodge. The staff was excellent. Jerome was very responsive to my questions when making reservations and planning the trip. Fidji was so kind, gracious and professional meeting us at the airport with a beautiful floral lei and was available all day every day to answer questions and give recommendations. The rooms were very clean and bedding was very comfortable. We will definitely stay at Kono Koa lodge again. We loved that it was a bit out of the city. It was so quiet and peaceful with breath taking views. Jerome and Fidji arranged fantastic tours for us with our guide Juaquin who shared with us his beautiful island and the history of it. Kona Koa Lodge made our trip to Easter Island a wonderful adventure to be remembered always.

The lodge’s amenities and its serene setting contributed to a feeling of exclusive privacy and comfort. For anyone visiting Rapa Nui, I cannot recommend Kona Koa Lodge enough. It’s not just a place to stay, but an integral part of the experience on this unique island. Jerome and his wonderful lodge are sure to make your visit unforgettable!

Jerome, the owner is really amazing and makes feel all his guests special. We travel a lot and are quite a picky travellers. Kona Koa combines hospitality of family hotel with big hotels stadards. True, there is no aircondition, but I was happy as we always have fight if to switch it on or not :). You are treated as relatives comming to visit your remote family. Get help with all trips, car rental and tips for the town best restaurants.

Quiet, peaceful and easy to communicate with staff

Had a great vacation in Chile at December. Stayed at the Easter Island at the Kona Koa Lodge and it was really right choice. Jerome is a very attentive and friendly host, he organized transfer for us from the airport and back, recommended a very good local guide for excursion around the National Park and meeting the highlights. We also rented a car at Kona Koa and fully satisfied by this experience, everything was organized easy and conveniently. The house is surrounded by lovely blossoming garden, it’s clean and cozy and fully equipped with necessary household appliances and utensils. Highly recommend the place for those, who going to discover the Island!

“Lovely owners and stunning accommodation”

Fidji and Jerome are the most lovely hosts. They helped us arrange airport transport, car rental, restaurant reservations, and day tours - always being so kind and available. The accommodation itself was beautiful, well designed, new, with a great bathroom and shower, and a kitchen opening up to the terrace - all completed by a stunning and relaxing view. 10/10 would recommend!

“Beautiful eco friendly stay on the outskirts of Hange Roa”

Beautiful rooms and property with sea views and even the ability to see a moai from the right location! Friendly host who was responsive over WhatsApp to help with restaurant recommendations / bookings, ideas for tours, etc before our stay. The rooms themselves were also really cool, with windows that could be opened with rope pulleys and spacious showers/bedrooms/outdoor lounge spaces, and fully equipped kitchen and lots of drinking water provided. Importantly, everything was very clean. This was the perfect place for us to spend a rainy day after we had completed many of our tours and didn’t have much more exploring in us. We were also dropped off at the airport at the end of our stay which was a nice touch. Parking was readily available.

“Highly recommended if want high quality, beautiful quiet setting!”

A fantastic stay! Such a beautiful setting - an amazing view with sunsets over the ocean, wonderful cabin with everything you need, and peace and quiet just a short stroll (or drive) from town. The tours that were organised for us were brilliant too. Fiji and Jerome were such great hosts - Merci!

Beautiful bungalows and grounds, with stunning views of the sea amidst flowering tropical plants. Lots of care and attention have gone into the design of each bungalow, which the owner Jerome oversaw himself. He upgraded me to the premium bungalow which has an amazing outdoor shower that I just loved. The area is quiet and relaxing and the perfect place to unwind. I borrowed a mountain bike which was the perfect way to get into town (and to explore the southern part of the island) if you're an active type. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride each morning and evening. It would be a bit far to walk in my opinion, though. Kitchen is fully functional and I recommend stocking up on some food and drinks your first day. Cost is high, but prices are elevated across the island. Thanks for a lovely stay Jerome!
