“The most perfect stay on Rapa Nui”

I had the most amazing time at hare o haupiano. Lucy and Juan were incredible hosts. They helped me booking tours, a taxi and regularly brought me fresh fruit plus they gave me very sweet gifts on departure. It is a 20 min nice walk to town and there are 2 minimarkets a few minutes walk away. One of them had fresh bread every morning and delicious empanadas. I 100% reccomend staying here and would stay here myself again.

“Lovely stay”

The cabaña is homely. A short walk into the centre but well located (everything is close there). Bed is comfortable and room is spacious. Lucy and Juan were lovely hosts, they answered our questions and helped us to get water/taxis, and they helped us store our bags on the last day when our flight was much later than check out.

Small but well equipped kitchen meets all our needs for preparing simple meals. The beds are comfortable. Opening wardrobe and shelf are quite enough for our clothes and stuff. They offer pickup service between the hotel and the airport. Since the hotel is located in the living area, we got the chance to experience local life and we did enjoy it. Further more, one of the owners’ cat, Pepa, visited our room every day during our stay and we really enjoyed her company.

The people

We received a very warm welcome from Juan and Lucy, with flowers in the room on our arrival.This was a small cabin on a family homestead, with chickens, cats and dogs (and bees!) which added to its authentic and homely atmosphere.

Juan and his wife have done a great job to create a very comfortable accommodation, which is in good order, has a sparkling clean floor, and us very comfortable. They will welcome you and look after you. When I was unfortunately taken to hospital on the island Juan turned up, without being asked, collected me and took me down to the pharmacy, making sure I was alright. These people are 110% the kindest people I've met travelling in a long time, and it was a privilege to lodge with them.

We had a wonderful stay on Easter Island! The hosts were incredibly friendly - they met us at the airport, organized free transfers to and from the airport, gave us a small tour around the town, and even helped us arrange excursions. On our way back, they surprised us with a small souvenir - such a kind gesture. Thank you very much! The location is quiet and peaceful, with grocery stores and restaurants nearby. It’s about 2 km from Ahu Tahai, the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The house has everything you need for a short stay, including a kitchen. Around the property you’ll see cats, dogs, and chickens walking freely, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere.

The location of the house is a 15 minute walk from the town. The property is a small family owned cabin. It is a cute cabin with everything you need including a kitchenette. The property lies in a tropical green garden. The hosts Lucy and Juan are great. Lucy picked us up from the airport with flower garlands and gave us a short tour and introduction of the island. She also gave us recommendations for where to eat and tour guides. And the end of our stay Juan drove us to the airport with no extra charge. All in all, a place where you feel welcomed and are well taken care of.

The location is great only a 15 minute walk from the local town and amenities and even closer to a local shop. The property is a small family owned cabin and on the family land of Lucy and Juan. It is a lovely cabin with everything you need including a kitchenette. They are very environmentally conscious on the island which is lovely to see and recycling is great. The property itself has avocado, lemon and other fruit trees outside. The hosts provided ear plugs because there are roosters around the property which was very thoughtful and provided toiletries in the room and towels which was great because we only have limited space in our backpacks. The best thing about the property is not the cabin but the amazing hosts who are so kind and friendly and really helped us have the most authentic experience. The island is beautiful but the people and the culture really stole my heart. Juan picked us up from the airport with flower garlands and gave us a short tour and introduction of the island. He also dropped us back off at the airport with no extra charge just from the goodness of their heart and generosity. Lucy is indigenous Rapa Nui and taught us so much. In her day job she is a tour guide and she took us both days around the island on two full days tours (my partner translating from Spanish to English). She took us to see most of the island Moai heads, the polyglyphs, the crater and village, the Inca stones, the caves and even took us on a hike! Lucy answered so many of my questions and was incredibly knowledgable and wise in respect of the history and culture. She is so passionate about the island and the special history it holds and I am so grateful for sharing a piece of that with us. She also helped us reserve a spot at the traditional dance and took us, as well as showing us the stars on the beach.

“Little retreat”

Excellent accommodation with a little kitchenette just a 15 min walk from the Main Street. Lucy and her husband were very sweet and kind hosts. Organised drinking water, picked us up and dropped off at airport for no charge. Met is with flower garlands and gave us a very thoughtful departure gift. Would recommend to anyone coming to the Island. Very special stay!

“A local and authentic experience.”

The place is really good. It's a nice price for the quality of the space provided. You can request double bed or twin beds, just let the host know in advance. I really liked their interest in helping and making us comfortable ALL the time. You don't need to worry to pick-up a taxi at your arrival or departure, I'm sure they will be able to provide this service. There is a TV, you might need to connect your credentials to your favourite streaming services. The wifi works most of the time. I had one evening when it was slow since the rain impacted the network, but I don't use much internet. If you have Entel network, you can back up with your phone network. Towels were provided, which were useful to avoid space in ur bagagge. Supermarkets are in proximity t the site, like 2 mins away. The city center at 25 mins walking and the church at 10 mins walking. Ask for taxi numbers, so if you don't like walking, you can pay a taxi (between 3000-5000 clp the ride to the center). The washing machine service can be provided b the host at an extra cost.

Lucy and Juan are just so helpful and caring! Suggested things for us to do, dropped us off downtown (i.e. by the soccer field, the town isn't big!) Lucy drove us to a superb dance show (Karikari) and picked us up afterwards. There is a nearby shop where you can buy stuff for breakfast.
