On a beautiful location offering views of both the harbour and the Sørøysund strait, is Scandic Hammerfest. The oldest city in Northern Norway, Hammerfest is sometimes claimed to be the northernmost city in the world. The in-house restaurant Skansen Mat og Vinstue is an intimate establishment serving delicious à la international carte dishes with an arctic touch. The Lobby Bar is a nice place to relax and the hotel also has the largest party venue and meeting place in Hammerfest. Scandic Hammerfest's conference section provides panoramic harbour views from most rooms. There are 2 VIP rooms and conference personnel available. High-speed internet is available throughout the hotel.

“The bathroom floor and room floor was not clean!”
I found so many small hairs on the bathroom floor ! They had not cleaned properly after that last guest!

A nice and cosy hotel on the shore. It is rather small, which adds for family atmosphere. We were happy for the electric car charging options, which made us book this establishment. Heated bathroom floor, plenty of hot water after a rainy day. We really enjoyed the breakfast, the breakfast staff is very attentive, especially the breakfast cook, who greeted and actively approached the guests.

“Excellent choice for Hammerfest”
Scandic is an excellent choice in Hammerfest. Located very close to the city center and provides all facilities. People working there were awesome and breakfast was very nice.

“A very enjoyable stay indeed!”
Breakfast was divine with fresh products and we really enjoyed the view to the fjord from the window of the breakfast room. The rooms were really comfortable and clean with a lovely view to the port, the beds were extra comfy. All in all, it was avery enjoyable stay.

“Lovely hotel on the edge of town”
Lovely hotel on the edge of Hammerfest, overlooking the bay. Room was spacious and clean and the restaurant has great views. Staff were friendly and helpful and although the restaurant was shut by the time we arrived there are an array of snacks available for purchase in the lobby. Although there is no car park belonging to the hotel there is plenty of on-street parking and a large car park in front of the hotel which was free during our stay as it was a public holiday. The hotel is situated at one end of the town (which itself is effectively in two halves at either ends of the bay) so its a bit of a walk if you want to visit the UNESCO Struve Geodetic Arc monument at the opposite side of town, but most of the bars, shops, cathedral etc are within a 5 minute walk.

Clean and basic but functional and well maintained - everything you’d need for a trip to Hammerfest. Staff were all top notch h in their approach, service and attitude - being welcoming, friendly and helpful. Location is ideal for the town.
