This hotel is located in central Hamina, 10 km from Uuperi Ski Centre and 40 km from the Russian border. It features a spa with swimming pools, hot tub, cold pool, hydro-massage waterfalls, saunas and a gym. The bright, modern rooms at SpaHotel Hamina have a TV and a private bathroom with a shower. Double room is nice and cozy, SPA is brilliant, 25 meters pool with 6 lines, so most of time you can find a free line/spot. Sauna and outside cold pool is something to try! the outside area closing at 20:00 (inside 20:45). Gym is basic and mostly consist on cable machines. It has barbell and few plates, with maximum weigh 47.5 Kg and you can do bench press and squats.

“The Place to Stay in Hamina”
Located right in the middle of the small garrison town of Hamina which is steeped in history back to the 18th Century. The room was recently renovated, practical like all Finnish hotels, good food, friendly staff, and easy to find.

“"Spa" turned out to be a public swimming hall with a double price.”
The location was perfect and very close to the old centre. The rooms where tidy and comfy. There was a nice view from a big window facing South and it was very quiet and calm.

“I would use this hotel for my next visit to Hamina”
The bed was comfortable and extra pillows were provided. Not all rooms have air conditioning but paying for it was worthwhile in the summer heat. We slept very well. The hotel is a short walk from Hamina market square and there is a supermarket slightly further away. The supermarket closes by 2200 hours so you may have to use the in-room minibar if you do not plan ahead. Breakfast was a good buffet in the usual Finnish hotel style, Tasty coffee and tea were available without any fancy specialty brews. The gluten-free choices seemed rather plentiful.

“A comfortable hotel in the heart of Hamina.”
Very quiet room, comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast was rich with smoothie, juice, veggies, fruit, omelet. Atmosphere within breakfast lounge was very relaxed. Reception lady was very friendly. As we arrived late and left early we had no chance to visit spa. - but we definitely return:-)
