“It was perfectly peaceful”

Love the place & so grateful for the early check in due to travelling from out of town & having to get to a funeral. Very accommodating. The grounds are magnificent and I loved the quietness. Will be staying again.

The location was close to the airport which suited my requirements. Parking was not a problem. The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful as was the owner. The continental breakfast was plentiful and satisfying. There is no restaurant but there is a large fridge and a microwave to use should you want to use them. There is lots of outdoor seating if you want to relax, have a drink, read a book or go for a walk around the grounds to get some exercise or do some yoga before you start your day! The setting is beautiful with lovely natural bush, gardens and manicured lawns. I enjoyed my stay so much I cancelled my last night I had booked in a hotel in Hamilton and returned for one more night before heading down the road to catch my ✈️ home. A " big thank you" to all for making my stay so enjoyable.😊

“Nice stay in a hotel that's a little different.”

We had just a short overnight stay at the Narrows Landing so we can't provide too many details. We arrived after dark and left very early so it was very much a fly by trip. The layout of the public areas is really nice. A bit quirky, a bit cozy, and you can tell that during the Summer with all the windows and sliding doors open it must be a really nice place to be. The breakfast was nice and it started early so we were able to grab some before going. Simple fair but enough to start the day! The rooms were nice, quirky looking, with steepled roofs and a fun (and HUGE) bathroom set up. Lots of wood. Something a little bit different and a nice change of pace from generic boring hotels.

This was our 4th stay and as always we had a wonderful stay. Staff are amazing and the amenities are exceptional.

The peacefulness was just what I needed! The room so elegant from a bygone era and SO MUCH ROOM!!!!! Your staff are just glorious. So friendly and helpful. The fridges and cooking stuff out in the corridors are so great, thanks for having these. Loved curling up with a book and a hot chocolate downstairs on the couches before bed.

“A nice place to stay if you are in the area”

A Lovely, if quirky, place to stay in extensive grounds. It is very peaceful here just sitting on the veranda listening to the birdsong. There is some road noise during the day but not enough to worry about. The hosts were very helpful and the breakfasts superb. It is also very close to the famous Hamilton Gardens which are a must see place and also a peaceful riverside walk.

The breakfast was superb. Good selection of breads fruit and cereal and especially good coffee. The bed was comfy shower water pressure good with plenty of towelling. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful

This is a lovely place to stay, set in the bush with gardens around. The hotel is older, think more like old English homes, with wooden floors that creak, steps here, there and everywhere, and a lovely ambiance. The staff were friendly and helpful, and carried our bags up to our room when we arrived. The air-conditioning worked well, the water in the shower was warm and the flow strong, and there was a hand held shower rose. The bed was comfortable, and the room was exceptionally clean. The continental breakfast was extra nice, with a choice of fruits, cereals, toast, meat and cheese and spreads.
