The peacefulness and the animals

Loved the location, very generous with the French onion dip recipe and supplies - was very much enjoyed! Bathroom amenities and body wash/shampoo was a nice addition as well as the opportunity to feed the horses. Was easily the best place we stayed on our 2 weeks around the North Island!

I arrived to find the place had been opened for our arrival , lovely greeting card and snacks , do thoughtful . Easy to find and plenty of parking space .

Clean and good facilities

Where do I begin? Honestly, the whole place was great. Having lived in a city all my life, this was definitely a humbling, refreshing experience! The owner was so kind! She left a handwritten letter for us and even provided some ingredients to make their local dish! There was also feed and brushing kit provided for the ponies! We even got to see the sunset! Together with the cows, sheep and ponies, this was truly a magical place to stay in! Happy to have a privelage to stay at this home stay!

Close to Hamilton, great space and nature. Animals cute. Home comfy and clean. All amenities available. Personal touch - snacks, drinks, cute farmsy plates.

I liked the special welcome gift they left for us, and how easy it was to check in. We loved the animals it was just an honor to be there.

“Relaxing farm stay that will exceed expectations”

We had such an enjoyable stay at Country Comfort. Our lovely host welcomed us with treats and the place was exceptionally clean. Had everything we needed and felt so relaxed. Plenty of room and comfy beds and a lounge room that overlooks a beautiful front farm yard. Our two young children loved the animals on the property and the little touches, like food to feed them and grooming brushes, was so appreciated. The fresh air and beautiful sunsets made this place a special find and we'd highly recommend. Thank you again Jen!

Had a lovely stay here for 2 nights. Very cozy and clean accommodation and we were quite sad to leave. Felt like a home away from home :)

Nice and warm hosting, so clean and tidy, very very comfortable beds and beddings, sufficient toiletries，artistic taste，unique interactions with farm animals, amazing farm views. The best accommodation so far!

I loved my stay at Country Comfort! The personal little touches & welcome from the owner was wonderful. The bed was so comfortable and the whole house was cosy. I loved the animals all around the house especially the horses & lambs. Being able to feed them was an unforgettable experience.

August 2025 Everything about our stay was brilliant. Our 2 year old loved all the animals that were on the property and the accommodation was exceptional. Very clean and tidy. It was just a shame we couldn't stay longer.

Felt like home from home , my 8 year old loved having animals close by very friendly people, best accommodation I have had. My family absolutely loved our stay and we will be back one day soon for sure !

“Perfect home away from home”

Only a short drive into Hamilton. Felt like we were in the middle of nowhere which is exactly what we were after. The place was spotless and quiet. Very comfortable beds and little touches made all the difference - toys and games for the kids, a vacuum and hairdryer, smaller pillows in the kids bedroom for them, salt and pepper, tea and coffee etc. We arrived late in the evening and the home was ready and warm for us upon our arrival. The kids loved feeding the sheep and the ponies too. The deck was the perfect place to have a cuppa as well. And the water pressure was amazing!
