A lovely remote setting surrounded by wildlife. The rooms were nice with great air conditioning. The guys who run the place looked after us very well and organised our safari for us.

“Good place to stay if you plan to do a safari”

Green Nest Yala is a good place to stay if you plan to do a safari. We arranged a private safari with the host before arriving in Sri Lanka. Because of the flight disruptions caused by the war in Iran, we had to rescheduled at the last moment our safari one day later and this wasn't a problem at all. We really liked the Kotthu at dinner, as well as the pool and the sunset at the lake nearby. They also provided us a takeaway breakfast for our morning safari (5am to 10am), we were lucky to see also a leopard. We could also pay everything by card (room, dinner, safari).

Close the the national park, you can watch animals outside at the closeby lake.

The manager/staff member was very helpful and ever ready to assist us. Food was very good and the place suited us during our short stay.

Green Nest Yala is in a fabulous location not far from Yala National Park. It is right next to a large lake in the middle of countryside with lots of wildlife in and around the guesthouse. We saw lots of beautiful birds in the garden and over the lake and water buffalo walking past the lake side fence. The swimming pool was lovely and very clean. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the host sorted out a safari and onward taxi for us.

Located about 30 min drive from the entrance of Yala National Park. The manager (Athula) and the other staff member went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Appreciate their dedication.

This is a very nice place in nature, with a lot of animals like peacocks and warans walking through the garden. At the lake outside of the property you can even see more animals. The host was amazing. He made us feel welcome at every point in time and prepared delicious breakfast and dinner for us. We can recommend this place.

The pool and grounds. The owner’s kindness and hospitality. He took us on a lovely sunset stroll around the lake, pointing out wildlife along the way. He provided us with food whenever we requested it, including our very early takeaway breakfast for the safari. He was also excellent with our children and went above and beyond. Offering to look after them while we ate, or calming our 4 year old down when he was upset. He even pushed our baby around while we packed our cases. Thank you so much!
