Nice atmosphere , hassle free, full use of the kitchen , super nice host , the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean . One of the best places I've stayed in during my 6 months in Srilanka

Janaka is a sweet and helpful man, his place is also suitable for solo women. He cooks delicious Sri Lankan food, provides professional Ayurvedic and sports massage, and can take you on an affordable tuk-tuk safari to the edge of Bundala and Yala National Park. We saw two elephants and crocodiles on his Bundala safari :) would love to come back!

Great place to stay, easy to find, very clean, possibility to have a tea in this evening and our host is really friendly! We had a great time with him, nice talking with him and he could arrange a Tuk Tuk safari trip for us which was amazing! Far from the jeeps and really respectful with the nature and animals. We loved it!

“Best place in Hambantota”

The owner is super nice and helps with everything. I got quoted 90€ for a 3h Safari in Bundala Np, but instead of having to pay this, the owner offered to take me on his scooter around the borders of Bundala and yala national park for very little money. He put lots of effort into finding crocodiles and elephants for me and we ended up having a really nice elephant and crocodile encounter :) the next morning he brought me to the bus station with his scooter (for free). If you come to Hambantota, you should 100% stay there

“You get exceptional value for money”

Very close to the central bus stand of Hambantota. Just 600m. Easily can find the way. Safe neighborhood. I arrived late. Close to the mid night. Still, the staff were awake - expecting me. Really thankful for that.

a calm and comfy place to stay, very good for this price! the owner (a father of a nice family btw, he's on the left on photo, looking strict, but he's very nice in fact))) is very friendly man tried his best to help us with everything.

“Lovely everything!”

Everything! Janaka is a very helpful, generous man. And he knows how to find crocodiles and elephants and many other beautiful things. The guest house is a short walk from the coast and also from the small town which is very non touristic, with lovely people and good food and tea.

“Opportunity to see animals in Bundala NP”

The room was clean and large. Janaka was very helpful and made sure I was comfortable. He also took me on the scooter on the road by the edge of the Bundala National Park and I could see elephants and monkeys and lots of birds for the fraction of the price had I gone with safari agency.

Jarkan the operator is very helpful and accommodating. He is meticulous and clean. The location is hear the market and restaurants. The closest beach is 5 minute walk. The room has a fan and air conditioning. Great stay in Hambantota.

The room is nice and clean, the location is quiet local area, just a short walk to the main street and to the beach. The owner is friendly and helpful! Great quality-price deal!

The host was extremely nice and helpful. The room is big, with AC and a nice private bathroom with all necessary. The owner has been extremely helpful, he rented us scooters for a fair price and gave us nice insights of the area :) He also came with us to the bus station to help us take the correct bus! Great experience, absolutely recommended

Originally I've booked a room at this place. When I came there in Tuk Tuk the host said there is no free room in the actual house and that we should follow him to another place nearby. We did and the other place turned out to be some kind of motel. The host of the motel was drunk when I got there (although friendly). Room seemed clean overall eventhough I did not feel comfortabel because for example in the bathroom the ceiling looked completely disgusting also there was a certain smell inside. The bed and also the towels didn't seem clean as if they have been used and not washed (I was lucky to have my own sleeping bag with me). So at this point I can surely give no recommendation to go there. At least the room was cheap and also not too small (3.000 Rs - around 9 Euro).
