There is a completely rude and uncultured girl at the reception! I paid 1800 kr for 1 night, the room was on the second floor, with old dusty windows open, views of the hotel pipeline! And the room we chose was completely different! After asking the receptionist for another room than the one I booked, I had to be angry with the receptionist for another hour! I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!! The hotel is untidy! The service is disgusting! 0 points

I arrived at the hotel at 1:00 AM during the night (15–16 November 2025). The receptionist saw my booking on Booking.com, fully paid, and I gave her all the important information she needed: the booking code/booking reference and my driver’s licence so she could check my name. She started complaining that my name was difficult, but then she found it on Booking.com. After that, she tried to make me pay again. I asked her why, and she said, “I see your booking on the website, but not in our system,” and she created some drama. I asked her what I should do, but she refused to help and kept pushing me to pay again, even though the booking was already paid and non-refundable. I asked her to call Booking.com to verify it, but she refused. So I had to call Booking.com myself at 1:00 AM. I explained that I was having problems at the hotel reception and that the receptionist told me to cancel my booking and pay a higher price — which is basically systematic cheating. Booking.com customer service called her, and she moved away from the desk so I could not hear the conversation. Then customer service told me that she would fix it. After that, she acted like it wasn’t her problem. Calling Booking.com and fixing issues like this is her job, but I ended up doing it myself. She did everything she could to force me to pay again, even trying to make me book and reserve a new room. Finally, she told me, “You can get a hug to solve the drama.” I said no, but she continued saying “A hug doesn’t cost anything,” so I gave her a hug, and then she finally gave me the room key card. This is completely unacceptable, especially in Norway. I went to my room and didn’t go outside again because I felt very uncomfortable and didn’t want to see her face when entering or leaving. After such service, I will definitely not book at that hotel again. Next time I will choose Airbnb or another hotel in Hamar instead.

The staff are always attentive. Its a wonderful relaxed environment. Great breakfast, comfortable and clean room. Walking distance from main centre and near the train station. Grest views of the lake.
