The place looks better than the photos! Our room was very clean and pleasant smelling. Bedsheets are crispy and fresh. The bed is heated. It is peaceful and quiet. On our second day here, it rained the whole day - but staying in the motel was fine as it is comfortable. A gang of kangaroos wandered by during our stay. Ian checked us in efficiently. He gave tips of hiking trails, useful maps and places to eat, lent us umbrella, etc.

Recently painted. The shower is hot with standard two taps. The rear of the property has a fire going in the evenings, and overlooks a swamp so plenty of kangaroos and bird. Pretty nice setting actually.

“Excellent 1 night stopover”

Very nice motel, room and bathroom were very clean. Staff were very helpful and supplied restaurant and activity options when we checked in. Good location only a short walk to restaurant options in the evening.Public outdoor seating area was really nice with a fire pit and BBQ facilities, lots of kangaroos and other wildlife to watch.

“Loved our stay”

Staff were fantastic, friendly and accommodating. They offered great suggestions on where to go and what to eat and provided maps to each. The room was clean and comfortable. Fresh towels and glasses refreshed at request was lovely. The out door fire was lit by the owners each night which was a fantastic invitation to stay out and use the pergola and out door living area into the night. The views from the property were fantastic in every direction and the added bonus of wild life like wallabies and bird life right in the back yard just made it magic.

Halls Gap Hotel is set in a beautiful location ( close to town) with a large back outdoor area for evening relaxation by a fire pit and BBQ and outdoor dining facilities. It overlooks wetlands with ducks, kangaroos, emus and lots of bird life to be seen in the distance.
