I liked the location, environment, and the views! The hotel restaurant was amazing, the food in it as well and the staff also❤️ Breakfast was diverse and nice. Overall the whole accommodation was quite in retro style but in a good way.

“A perfect hotel for one (or even more) nights”

What a gem this hotel was! We happened to get a free upgrade to a room with a lake view. The price was decent and the entire complex was almost luxurious. Even though it is in the middle of nowhere, they cater for everything that one would require. We certainly had a good time during our dinner as well as at our breakfast the next morning. I still can't believe what a delicious and plentiful buffet they prepared for their guests. Even though the hotel is a bit off the Ring Road, it is certainly worth a stay.

The hotel was modern and clean. The room had a lovely view out onto the river. Breakfast had a good selection.

A beautiful, forested location not far from a lake/river. Very large facility but well organised. Lovely (but expensive) buffet dinner, and huge breakfast included in the price.

Although a fair distance from Egilsstadir the drive was worth it as the hotel was good and better value for money

Nice rooms and location. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Plenty of choice and tasty. Location was beautiful and was good for watching the northern lights.

Clean and comfortable room in beautiful forest setting. Fabulous breakfast and delicious meal in the à la carte restaurant, best we had in Iceland! Enjoyed happy hour and the hot pool also. Location is out of town but close to Hengifoss and Laugerfell waterfall circle.

Spacious, comfortable room in large hotel catering for groups and independent travellers. Lovely woodland setting, views over lake. Excellent, full breakfast buffet. Evening meals expensive (typically Iceland!), so we ate in Egilsstadir. All facilities available. Petrol pumps at entrance very useful.

The dinner buffet and breakfast were excellent.

This hotel provides classic hotel amenities and service -- something that is rare nowadays -- for a very good price. Our Superior room was spacious and everything was very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good, the dinner buffet excellent with a wide choice of salads.

The location was perfect, and the waitress from the restaurant was very lovely to us. Amazing view from the window :)
