“Good hotel with a great view of Halki Town and the sea”

The hotel stands out for its stunning location on the sea, with most rooms offering fantastic views of the wonderful town and the water. The hotel owner is incredibly friendly and provides plenty of information about places to go on the island and where to eat. When booking, please let him know your ship's arrival time, and he will pick you up at the port by car. Upon departure, he will take you back to the port. The hotel is also easily accessible on foot from the harbour, but you'll have to climb a few stairs, which isn't ideal with luggage. (By car, you'll take a road around the town.) Be careful with these stairs after sunset, as it can get quite dark in some areas. My room wasn't very large but it also had a terrace. It's a pity that the shower handle in the shower can only be adjusted to navel height. Bottled water is provided in the rooms, but no coffee or tea. Breakfast is buffet-style.

I think the breakfast was fairly basic and the wait staff were not friendly or helpful. Great location and would come back for that alone .

“Perfect place for accommodation and views”

Stunning views from the balcony and the manager Yannis was the most accommodating, helpful and lovely gentleman we have met. The breakfast was good with the usual choices of eggs, fruits, yoghurts and pastries. Beds were comfy and bathroom was a decent size with toiletries and hairdryer. The hotel is spotless. We would recommend it and definitely return. Thank you.

Room was perfect- air con very good and quiet. Walk from your room to clear clean sea in 30 seconds. Halki a dream destination with lovely bars and restaurants. Beaches easily walkable unless very restricted mobility wise. Owner / manager super helpful and friendly as was all the team there. Nothing too much - fabulous customer experience and great customer service. Went the extra 5 miles to meet customers needs. Breakfast great. Even picked us up and dropped us off to the ferry point. Genuinely friendly people who seemed to enjoy there work.

Yiannas provided a free return transfer from the port to the hotel and provided excellent local knowledge and a fantastic welcome to the island and the hotel. Amazing private pontoon terrace for swimming. Great breakfast provided in a laid back fashion with cooked and continental options which exceeded expectations. This place is a 10 out of 10 and I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook ! Room and bathrooms were of a high quality for accomodation around this price band.

We loved loved loved, Yiannis! He made our stay at Aretanassa just so special. Best wishes to him and his family x Loved the view of Halki at night from the hotel. Loved that you could go straight into the sea from the hotel. The snorkelling was amazing. Loved the comfy beds.

Snorkeling in the crystal clear waters directly off the veranda of the hotel was a dream. If you want relaxation come to Halki and stay here.
