Pier 21 is a 10-minute walk away. Each room at The Halliburton is individually decorated, featuring antique and wood furniture. “Great small hotel with a personal touch.”
This little hotel makes a refreshing change from all the rather corporate hotels around Halifax. It is conveniently located near the waterfront. Our room had a good bed (rather high but there was a stool!). Also chairs, a sofa and a coffee machine. There was a little balcony above the garden. The staff always seemed to be around to help and took our luggage up the steep flight of stairs. The hotel is in adjacent period houses with some character.

“Nice hotel in a great location”
This is a lovely property in a fantastic location! The staff is really kind and helpful. The room was very clean and felt like staying in a nice Canadian home. And the beds and pillows were very comfortable! Although I had some issues (see below), I would happily recommend this hotel to others.

This beautifully historic property maintains the elegance of a lovely old home, with a library in the lobby that hosts afternoon/evening drinks and nibbles. Each room is decorated uniquely and the quiet garden oasis tucked away in the back of the hotel provides a peaceful place to sit and relax. The location to the waterfront and restaurants was excellent.

“Wonderful stay in great location”
A wonderful place to stay! Great location in downtown Halifax, really comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. We loved having a balcony and the garden is really sweet. Would definitely stay again!
