The property is located perfectly for looking around the harbour and generally checking out the sites that the city has to offer. We were fortunate to get onsite parking which is very limited at the property, but there is on street parking available which is expensive. A short 5 minute walk from the property will get you to 18 acres of public gardens which are immaculate and well worth a visit. A further 2 minute walk will give access to the Citadel, but the area was busy because some world cup football match was being shown on a big screen and we weren't interested in that. It is very easy to walk downtown to the harbourside boardwalk where the heart of the city is to be found. Lots of shops and restaurants.

“A perfectly decent place to sleep”
The continental breakfast wasn't as bad as other reviews I saw said. There was a nice selection of cereals, bagels, yogurts and more. The location is good - right near downtown Halifax! I think the decor was suitable for the age of the building. It was pretty quiet, and the staff we dealt with were nice.
