When I was looking for accommodation in the Tatev area, the main consideration (besides price) was location. Old Halidzor met our expectations to the fullest. I was afraid that the wooden houses would be cold at the end of October, but the heaters in the room provided a suitable temperature. The staff was very helpful and kind, and the breakfast and dinner were rich in local specialties.

“Breathtaking landscape with helpful host and amazing restaurant”
Our host was amazing and very helpful, especially when we had a problem with our rental car and he came to the next village to assist us. The accommodation offers breathtaking views, the breakfast included only homemade dishes, and the restaurant is absolutely worth visiting for dinner.

“An amazing stay in Armenian Mountains!”
We stayed only one night in this amazing location, in our way to explore Armenia. The lodges are located in a very nice location, in the mountains, with a very nice view. The staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms were very clean. The garden and surroundings are very nice, there is parking on site. We had dinner and breakfast on the location and it was very good, very tasty, traditional Armenian food.

“Small but cosy bungalowpark”
We spent here three nights in one of the cosy bungalows. Simple but sufficient, with two beds and our own bathroom. From here you have a spectacular view on Tatev monastery. Dinner and breakfast is served under a very pleasant roof. Staff is very helpfull. The price is very much lower than the nearby ecolodge.
