Everything was great and the host was perfect. Very friendly and helpful. Location is great, close to many attractions. We got a recommendation for going for a hike near the place and it was a HIDDEN GEM!

Clean and tidy, safe, lovely host, good kitchen vibes. Good beds. We were upstairs - easy access to shared bathrooms which were clean and always available when needed.

The staff was absolutely friendly and made us feel at home. The shared kitchen is equipped to prepare quick meals in the microwave or stove. Plus they have a professional coffee machine and offer milk, chocolate powder, coffee and tea free of charge which we found quite nice. The rooms are small but comfy, with a gorgeous view of the landscape and comfortable beds. Plus they count on individual bathrooms with a shower each. We really enjoyed our night there.

Great location - visited jokusarlon before checking in for the night! Rooms were clean and communal toilets were kept clean too. Great to have a sink in the room so we didnt have to crowd in the toilets in the morning. Definitely buy groceries before coming here, since the nearest supermarket is a good 40min drive away!

“Gorgeous Hygge cosy retreat for exploring the stunning surrounds”

We really LOVED this place which was the epitome of Hygge. Remote and unique it was the perfect location for a couple of nights for us to explore the glacier lake, glacier hiking and ice caves as a family. We even got welcome cakes! 5* recommend x

Great location if you want to explore the Jökulsárlson glacier, and maybe do one of the adventures offered. Hali is a very small village but the Guesthouse has everything you may need, even if they explain that the kitchen has limited facilities (we found that we had everything we needed). The rooms are clean, the shared bathrooms/showers too and we found there is plenty of space. We missed the staff as they were celebrating the Christmas party but they still left us cake before leaving so we had it upon our arrival
