“Excellent countryside hotel near mountains and nature”
Modern room with large bathroom and great bed. Nice staff, good breakfast served on the table. Good balcony with views to the mountains and nice countryside. Great value for money overall. If you have a car and are on a roadtrip, this place is strategically located for overnight stay on the road for day or a few. Plus: 15min drive from Neuschwanstein castle.

“Cozy and quiet getaway”
We recently stayed at this hotel with our family and found it to be a pleasant experience. The location is great, offering nice views of the mountains that enhanced our stay. The atmosphere is cozy, resembling more of a pension than a traditional hotel. With fewer guests during the off-season, our time there felt more intimate, which was nice for family bonding. The staff were friendly and accommodating; they immediately changed my father-in-law’s room to the ground floor to accommodate his limited mobility, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was good, featuring fresh options that everyone enjoyed. Overall, it was a nice getaway for our family.

The owners Marcus and Harvey were delightful and welcoming and up for a chat in the bar in the evenings. The location is very good - close to Neuschwanstein and Fussen.

I spent one night at Hotel Sonnenbichl in Halblech and was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is charming and located in a beautiful, quiet area with lovely views of the surrounding Bavarian landscape. The room was clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and welcoming.

The view from my room was amazing and was relaxing to sit on the balcony and just relax. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were spacious.

We love this place. We stayed at the first night after a long flight from Thailand and everyone had a nice sleep. I takes a short driving from Neuschwanstein Castle to the place.

“Perfect base for exploring this part of southern Bavaria”
Lovely room with a balcony with a superb view over the village and the Bavarian alps. Location ideal, in a very quiet spot just outside the village, but with only a short walk into the village for restaurants, etc. Only a short drive to Hohenschwangau for King Ludwig's castles, but away from the hoards of tourists. Wies church nearby. Excellent breakfast. Marcus and his partner were the perfect hosts.
