Overview
Only 5 minutes from Happo One Ski Resort on the free shuttle, the completely non-smoking White Horse Hotel serves an English breakfast and offers massages and packed lunches. The Japanese rooms have Western beds. The hotel provides a shuttle service to/from any resort, at any time of the day. Rooms at Hotel White Horse are decorated with Japanese artefacts and have tatami (woven-straw) floors and shoji paper screens. You can enjoy free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen cable TV. A private bathroom with bathtub is provided. Guests can relax in the hotel’s hot-spring bath or use the free internet terminal. The hotel has a drying room and a ski/snowboard tuning area. Skiing lessons can be arranged. Free shuttles are offered to and from JR Hakuba Train Station, a 15-minute drive away, and Hakuba 47 Ski Resort, a 7-minute drive away. Hakuba Museum is a 10-minute walk. Bicycles can be rented. White Horse has a Western restaurant and a bar with a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. A barbecue dinner is served every Friday.

“A Hakuba stay done right”
We had an incredible stay at the Whitehorse Hotel in Hakuba. From the moment we arrived, Tony was more than accommodating, and the entire team were personable, friendly, and genuinely went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The daily mountain transfers were a huge highlight. We were dropped off every morning and picked up every afternoon at a time that suited us, which made ski days completely stress free. The drying room was perfectly located and worked a treat, and the onsen was a lovely bonus. We were even lucky enough to have a private onsen one evening, which was an unforgettable experience. Breakfasts were hearty and exactly what you need to power through long snow days on the mountain. A special mention has to go to the pastrami sandwich, which was absolutely amazing and made even better knowing Tony meticulously prepares the wagyu pastrami himself. The rooms were comfortable, warm, and quiet, and we slept like logs every night. There was also a fantastic atmosphere throughout the hotel, with a jovial vibe among both guests and staff. Everyone genuinely seemed to be having a great time, which made the stay even more special. We will definitely be back, assuming we can get a booking next time before it is fully booked out.

Then location of this property provides an excellent view of the alps, Tony had been very helpful and friendly. WE went to the recommended tour spot, and it was one of the best places we have visited.

“Fab!!”
Great place! Tony and his staff made our whole stay fantastic. They were really accommodating with shuttling us to and from the mountains as well as train station and gave us excellent advice every day for the best places to ski considering the conditions. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed, and the onsen was a godsend after a long day on the slopes! Will be back next time we're in Hakuba!
